A new book paints an affectionate portrait of the many oddballs and misfits who have made Wikipedia what it is. It is an enjoyable rabbit hole of information, rather like its subject. Read our review

Every day, Wikipedia biographies of living people are flagged for deletion because the subjects are not “notable” enough. How do these poor souls take the news?

EXPOSED: An influence operation on Wikipedia is actively rewriting history to manipulate the Western narrative. Since Oct 7, Wikipedia’s "Zionism" article underwent a radical rewrite- 80% of the original text was erased or replaced. The core context of antisemitism and Jewish persecution was wiped out, and academic research was distorted. Previously, the article defined Zionism as a movement supporting a homeland for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel. However, the new intro claims it was established "through colonization," adding that Zionists wanted a state with "as much land, as many Jews, and as few Palestinian Arabs as possible״. Who is responsible for this??!?! The real danger? Almost all AI models rely on Wikipedia as a primary source, and young people get their information through AI tools today. Rewriting history there is nothing short of global mind-control for future generations.

You all need to understand that there is a well-funded movement to kill Wikipedia as an institution. The dream of an internet that provided universal access to knowledge was a mirage. It threatened too many powerful people, so now we have AI summaries and illiteracy.

$33 million in. $775 million out. 2003: a small Massachusetts company starts building robots that carry whole shelves of stock to warehouse workers. It raises $33 million from private investors, $20 million of it from Bain Capital Ventures. March 2012: Amazon agrees to buy it, Kiva Systems, for about $775 million in cash. Today it's Amazon Robotics, and in July 2025 Amazon deployed its one millionth robot. The public never got to buy a single share of Kiva. I run the London Real AI Investment Club, a private members' club where every Monday the founder of a fast-growing private AI company pitches our members live. Book a call with my team: Past results are not a guide to future returns. For eligible investors. Private investments are high risk and illiquid. Capital at risk. Wikipedia may be the Web's greatest accomplishment, but it is not infallible, and in several hot-button issues, it has been captured by activists. One of the most egregious is its rewriting of "Zionism" after 10/7:
