Strangely unknown fact: #ExtendScript supports a special `for each` syntax (from its CS4 version, I guess) that allows you to loop straight into the *values* of any object. This includes basic arrays, so:
var a=[3,1,4,1,5,9], s=0, x;
for each( x in a ){ s+=x }
alert( s ); // 23
237
