😮@epaktweetsMidnight Leaks @MidnightLeaksHQJBS, the world's biggest meat producer, in which BlackRock has a $334 million stake. This isn't just a foreign company shipping meat into America. JBS has massive U.S.-based production. In 2025, its North American beef division generated $28.1 billion, while its U.S. pork division generated another $8.4 billion. JBS also owns about 82% of Pilgrim's Pride, one of America's dominant chicken producers. Stop eating this s***, look at what they're doing! Stop giving your children candy that comes from these same places.0004

100% true. The fat makes the mince mighty; the thin makes it tepid. Trash the imitation and go whole hog on the original and best. Lean is for losers. #Mince #Meat #Fat #MeatMattersSama Hoole @SamaHooleBuy the fat mince. The 20%. The 80/20 if you're American. Whatever diet you're on, whatever your doctor said, whatever the lean tray next to it is promising, buy the fat one, and buy it this week. Mince is the whole cow in a tray. Brisket, chuck, shin, the fat cap off the rib, ground together so the poorest family on the street eats the same animal as the richest and pays for the bit the restaurant sent back. It built the shepherd's pie, the Bolognese, the chilli, the meatloaf, the burger and every Tuesday night of your childhood, and it did the lot with the fat left in. Then somebody took the fat out and charged you for the labour. The 5% arrived. The 95/5. The extra lean. It cost more, it went grey in the pan, it tasted of the tray, and a generation of mothers on both sides of the Atlantic were told it was the healthy one. The children pushed it round the plate. The jar of sauce moved in to do the job the fat had been doing for nothing. The fat one browns. The fat one fries itself. The fat one makes a burger that needs no sauce and a Bolognese that needs no sugar, and it carries the vitamins, because they ride in the fat you've been paying extra to have removed. So go to the shop. Walk past the lean tray with its little apology on the label. Pick up three of the fat ones. Fry them in butter, salt them, melt cheese over them, and feed them to someone you love. Then do it again on Thursday. The fat was never the problem. The fat was the point. Buy the 20%. Buy the 80/20. Buy it fat.0514490

Nitrites & Nitrates are bad for you = another ridiculous dietary myth. Nitrates & #Nitrites are naturally made in our bodies & convert to Nitric Oxide which dilates blood vessels, lowers blood pressure & enhances physical performance. Eat up that Charcuterie! #meat #health53131910128K

Peanut butter is sold as a health food, and the most potent natural liver carcinogen known to science was discovered because it killed over 100,000 English turkeys in 1960. That year, young turkeys on farms within about a hundred miles of London began to die. They went quiet, stopped eating, sat with their heads drawn back and were dead within days. Vets had never seen anything like it. They called it Turkey X disease. By the time it burned out, well over 100,000 birds were dead, along with ducklings and young pheasants on other farms. The common thread was the feed, and a new ingredient in it: peanut meal, shipped in from Brazil. Outbreak after outbreak traced back to mills that had used the same Brazilian groundnut meal. The meal had been colonised by a mould, Aspergillus flavus, which makes a poison the scientists named after it: aflatoxin. Fed to rats in the lab, it wrecked their livers and then gave them liver cancer. For years afterwards the standard test for a suspect batch was to feed it to day-old ducklings and look at their livers. It is now classed as a definite cause of cancer in humans, and it lives where the mould lives: in peanuts, maize, tree nuts, cottonseed and dried figs, crops stored warm and damp in bulk. It is behind tens of thousands of human liver cancers every year, mostly in countries where peanuts and maize are the daily staple. Europe sets a legal limit for aflatoxin in peanuts and turns shipments away at the border every year for breaking it. Nobody has ever needed a border inspection for aflatoxin in a sirloin. The turkeys were fed peanuts because peanuts were cheap. We are told to eat them because they are full of healthy fats. Both were sold the same nut.3016170617.4K
