A UI designer, a business analyst, a front end coder, a back end coder, a DBA, and a manual tester walk into a bar. Each sits down at a separate table. The bartender says . . . . . . "Why the long Sprint?" #mobprogramming /@WoodyZuill

Do you need a daily stand-up? If you're #MobProgramming or collaborating in some other way throughout the day, there's no need for daily Scrums at all. If you're working as isolated individuals rather than as an actual team, one Scrum a day might not be enough. Do what works!

Hey folks - I’ve been busy the last few weeks, as I suppose we have all been. I’ve had the pleasure of sharing #MobProgramming with a lot of people these past 8+ years. It’s amazing to see how powerful this simple concept is: Let’s get good at working effectively together.

it’s always the latter. That’s one of the reasons that one on one code reviews are such an awful idea. It’s vastly better for an entire ensemble to review the code as it’s being written. #mobprogramming

When doing code reviews, how do you know if you suggest truly objective improvements or just trying to push your personal preferences onto the code author?

When we tried #MobProgramming for the first time, we had a retrospective afterward. The working agreement formed that day was to "Treat everyone with kindness, consideration, and respect." I really thing this has had a lot to do with our success in software development in general

Spent the day #MobProgramming through a series of #pomodoro sessions. We solved more problems in 6 hrs them we have in the last 6 weeks. We set a goal every 25 mins and reflected at the end. Took a 5 min break for fresh air and repeated. After 4 we ate together! Food is key!

Calling developers a “team” when they: - Are independently measured. - Must create tickets to help each other. - Feel like asking for help is failure. - Need PRs approved by specific people. - Pull rank when decisions are made. …is delusional. #mobprogramming
