Unsupported software is a standing invitation. This week, list anything that no longer gets security updates. For each item, decide: replace it, isolate it, or accept the risk in writing with an owner and a date. #PatchManagement #Cover6Solutions

A managed laptop's Windows Update policy says: stay on 24H2. The laptop is running 25H2. No error, no failed install, no restart waiting. Services running, every scan successful. That's exactly why nobody notices until it's a real problem. 🧵 #WindowsUpdate #Intune

The Event Viewer gives you nothing here either: 210 copies of Event 26 "found 0 updates" and 40 copies of Event 41. A fully healthy device logs the identical lines. Compare the registry values - not the event log. #EventViewer

The deadline that makes this urgent: Home/Pro 24H2 end-of-service hit 13 Oct 2026. Sixty days later (~12 Dec 2026), Windows Update force-moves the device regardless of the pin - landing right in most teams' December change freeze. #PatchManagement

The cloud catch: patching a host isn't enough when PHP lives inside a container image. Find every image that bundles PHP, including CMS and marketplace stacks, rebuild it on a patched version and redeploy to Cloud Run, Kubernetes and the rest.
