Putting in the work in small groups #standardalgorithm @JohnRGood

Learning division using the #standardalgorithm is certainly not easy, but this Math pro is showing me that he has #mastered it on the whiteboard. Maybe we have a future #mathteacher here? 🤓⚡ #HISD #lionsroar #mathisfun @JennPetti1 @SaraYRodrigu3z @shearnlions

Two math periods means two new strategies to try! Today, in @EFTMoniz ‘s 4/5 class, we explored using both standard algorithm &the area model! It was interesting to see which strategy each student preferred😊 #Multiplication #AreaModel #StandardAlgorithm #JuniorMath #NumbeRocks

Excited to have Ss learn different strategies to compute for a solution and communicate their preferences. Learning to develop flexible thinking skills. @TDSB_KelseySrPS @TDSBmath411 #lattice #partitioning #standardalgorithm #wearemathematicians

Proud of these Panthers for living the Mathematical Practice: I can work on a math problem without giving up! Returning to standard algorithm in multiplication has been exciting! The boost of confidence and pride is transformational!! #thegiftoftime #standardalgorithm

Starting our week off with a Monday morning #NumberTalk! After reviewing our favourite multiplication strategies using the #standardalgorithm & #areamodels / #array - we jumped into a challenge... division!

#WeAreWCSD students moving between #AreaModel and #StandardAlgorithm to multiply multi-digit whole numbers #TeachNVACS

3 digit by 1 digit long division Tic-Tac-Toe was so much fun! If our partners quotients were incorrect, teamwork came to the rescue to analyze the mistake! 🙌#telegraphisawesome #standardalgorithm #checkwmultiplication

Teaching multiple strategies allows students to choose the one they are comfortable with. @eureka_math @HISD_ElemMath @RuckerHISD @HISDREADY2RISE #Partialproducts #StandardAlgorithm #BeRadiant #OutOfThisWorld 🌟🚀🤩💯

Proud teacher-bear moment: You go girl- teach that standard algorithm! @tjleelions @IrvingISD #math #standardalgorithm

@SolutionTree Jennifer Deinhart is speaking the truth...don’t take a working strategy away from any living soul. If a S’s math strategy isn’t your favorite but works for the student, let them do the work! #BISDpride #standardalgorithm vs #nonstandardalgorithm #MAWplc

Ss uses real life counters to solve subtraction with regrouping problems! #concrete to #abstract #standardalgorithm e
