Which is More (or Less) is a fun #subitizing card game.
Flip over two cards, then ask “Which card has more?” As children get better at subitizing you can flash the two cards, hide them, then ask “Which had more?”
So many ways to see 6! #dottalk#numbertalks in full swing in our class! We found different creative ways of visual representations! Conceptual #subitizing is the skill of recognizing smaller sets within a larger number of items & quickly adding them together @edmund_st@youcubed
Loved our math talk today. Ss in room 604 are doing a fantastic job explaining their different ways to add up a set of things. Even thou we add it up mentally we also practice writing down our strategy so we can share it with others 😍#subitizing@rbpsEAGLES
Here's a Human Subitizing game that you can use for Kindergarten math and some ideas for extensions to higher grades. Let me know if this works for your class! Any comments on how to improve it will be great! Hope your class will enjoy it! 😃 #subitizing#conversechat
