What are some good modern Java learning resources (e.g. books) for beginners? I am mostly interested in the didactic concepts :)

@Kiview I always recommend @cayhorstmann #corejava volume series. Although the book might be outdated but the concepts are still relevant #thinkinginjava by @BruceEckel Although this might not be perfect for beginners, #effectivejava by @joshbloch

No matter how many languages I learn, I keep thinking in Java and then translate it.. how to get out of this habit!? #thinkinginJava #wannabepolyglot #polyglot

If u learn java with "Thinking in Java" it should be useful. #Java #ThinkingInJava
