Chris@chris_eternal_It’s movies like this that really show how crucial original storytelling is. Such a great concept with even better execution, an eerie dark ride with plenty of laughs & such a bold storytelling tool that swings for the fences. 2/2 in my book Cregger, bravo. #WeaponsMovie #Weapons222022.3K135K
By the late 1990s, a distinct tactical culture had developed among American military personnel, law enforcement officers, and experienced shooters. Years of operational experience, hostage rescue missions, and evolving close-quarters combat techniques had influenced both their training and equipment choices. The gear from this era reflected a period of transition, with modified carry handles, emerging optics systems, and weapon-mounted lights becoming increasingly common. These configurations highlighted the growing importance of adaptability, low-light capabilities, and practical experience in demanding environments. For many experienced operators, equipment selection was shaped by countless hours of training and lessons learned in real-world situations. Weapon lights, mounting systems, and other accessories were chosen for reliability and functionality rather than appearance. While such setups did not necessarily prove combat experience, they often reflected the specialized training and tactical thinking of the period. The late 1990s marked a turning point in American tactical equipment and doctrine. Many of the innovations and techniques developed during those years would become far more widespread after 2001, but their foundations had already been established through years of experimentation, institutional training, and operational experience.1553685110K

A tactical helmet concept designed to protect infantry against FPV and autonomous drones has reportedly been patented in Russia. The design features a head-mounted, fixed recoilless weapon that can reportedly fire shotgun rounds, buckshot, pyrotechnic elements, or a net. The weapon is aimed by turning the wearer’s head and activated hands-free, either by biting a mouthpiece or speaking a code word into a microphone. The proposed system is intended to provide close-range protection against incoming drones. However, the patent does not establish that a working prototype has been built or that the concept has been tested under operational conditions. Source: BTVTinfo92914111.7K
