Good morning, travelers. Terminal C North remains closed this morning. We're working with United to accommodate flights today in C South and other terminals. If you're flying United, check your terminal and gate before you leave for the airport.

⁠Houston Fire Department is responding to a fire at a restaurant in Terminal C North at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Passengers in the immediate area have been relocated as a precaution. We will provide updates as they become available.

Update 7:20pm: HFD completed its work at Terminal C North. The C North area remains temporarily closed for precaution and clean up. Terminal C South and all other terminals are operational. Please check with your airline for updated terminal and gate information.

As of 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, flights at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) are experiencing significant delays after a construction contractor damaged a fiber-optic line today. Read the full statement here:

UPDATE (9:15pm): Airport operations are returning to normal as crews finalize repairs to the damaged fiber-optic cable. Airlines are working to resume normal flight schedules. Houston Airports anticipates a full recovery overnight.

Leaving Terminals A or B? Expect temporary detours and possible delays from 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, through Friday, Oct. 16. Road work near the Marriott will reduce southbound JFK Boulevard lanes. Allow extra time and follow posted detours toward Will Clayton Parkway.
