RT @juanbenet: Neurotech is Humanity’s Next Frontier! I’ve been investing in neurotech since 2021 and working with teams building BCIs, NeuroAI, and connectomics. It now feels like AI did in ~2019. We are entering an extraordinary era: neurotech already restores functions, it can enhance our capabilities, and will evolve what it means to be human. PLC Neurotech is the fund backing the extraordinary founders and defining companies of this booming industry.

RT @DrMorganLevine: I've been meaning to share these thoughts for a while and touched on them briefly in a recent conference talk. They are relevant to a lot of the discussions today.

RT @rosenthalzach1: Maybe controversial: the conversation about scientific bottlenecks is overfocused on automation. New measurement technologies deserve more attention. You could automate an assay that needs an entire facility – or you could REINVENT the assay so that it fits into just a few tubes.

RT @jamessinka: Strongly agree We need to 100x our understanding of fundamental biology If you're working on this, DM me
    Will Manidis @WillManidis
my very strong sense is the ways we talk and reason about biology- the structures and levels of abstraction we've identified- are likely not the correct ones. "learning on" or "zero-shotting" biology will yield new mechanisms that will allow us to make significant progress

RT @jamessinka: We're beyond proud of the work done by the team @MarathonFusion So glad we could support them at @ReactorfieldAI More coming soon!
    Marathon Fusion @MarathonFusion
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

RT @kevinweil: 💥 Introducing Warp Sciences, a new company applying AI and robotics to help the world develop new medicines faster. We’ve raised a $215M Series A led by @lightspeedvp to bring frontier AI out of the browser and into the lab, and build scientific capacity here in America. I co-founded Warp with my long-time friend @dpatil, FAIR co-founder @manohar_paluri, and drug hunter Sol Reisberg. The early team is full of incredible people like @bkspears9, who helped achieve Q>1 fusion at LLNL.

    Alchemy is real
    Marathon Fusion @MarathonFusion
In 2025, we published a bold proposal to use fusion reactors for gold production. And now we’ve done it: Mercury transmuted into stable gold, using fusion neutrons, at 10x the record set by CERN in 2025. We’ve reduced alchemy to a series of difficult but tractable engineering problems.

RT @kevinace: Six days ago I replied to @bryan_johnson about my cancer vaccine. That reply put my story in front of a lot shit ton of new people. Since then: ~1M impressions, 5.5K profile visits, ~550 replies, and 60+ DM's and emails. The part I didn't expect: a lot of it wasn't well-wishes. It was real help. Jan Domański, a scientist at OpenFold, offered to model my cancer's resistance mutations with AI, for free. Dennis Watson at Travera offered immune testing to track how my vaccine is working. @miriamgonp, a fellow patient, is building her own vaccine path, and we're comparing notes. Thank you, Bryan, and thank you to everyone who reached out. I read every message. If you're someone who wants to help or better yet if I can help you in any way, my DMs are open.

RT @DeryaTR_: I’m incredibly excited to share this video, in which I had the extraordinary privilege of mentioning the transformative impact of @OpenAI Codex and AI models on biomedicine, as well as what I’m working to develop using these technologies. I believe the video is beginning to air across various media outlets. I hope it inspires others to explore the incredible possibilities AI is opening up for biomedical science and humanity! 🖖 I am truly grateful and thankful to OpenAI team for the opportunity and a tiny drop of contribution in this most important era of human existence.🙏

PSA for all considering a PhD

this aligns with my thoughts on getting a PhD and intellectual jobs in the anthropocene. The trajectory you thought you could have is likely going to be obsolete. Collaboration will matter more than individual “genius” contributions

RT @geochurch: Rejuvenate Bio spun out of my lab at Harvard, and I co-founded it. One injection reverses cardiac disease in dogs, with three years of safety data and zero safety issues. They’ve raised $3.2M+ and 1,250+ investors are in, and Kingscrowd ranks the round #1 in the country. It closes soon:
