Ngl at times it's really exhausting juggling both Sneak Peek and the day job 😮💨 Like today I was supposed to publish a new interview but got busy with other stuff. I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter but my OCD personality still hasn't gotten this memo and loves to make me feel like shit about it. But testimonials like this keep me going 🥹💪009618
Damn so much love from the community for this brand design interview. Thanks y'all 🥹 Def gonna do more brand design interviews moving forward. On that note I'm gonna release the interview with the legend @thenickpattison next week. So stay tuned for that 👀 Also trying to convince @agusegui to come on the show. Wish me luck 🤞Jayneil Dalal @jayneilDuring Config India I asked everyone which product design team is doing the coolest work. And the answer was unanimous: @SarvamAI So I asked @kamini_300 to show me how she designed the iconic Sarvam AI logo and took a bunch of notes: 1. The first few iterations were discarded despite looking good because they looked very similar to Rameshwaram Cafe and Apple Intelligence. 2. Creating an iconic brand that seamlessly weaves Indian culture and tech requires looking in the most unlikely places for inspiration. Kamini literally took pictures of her office bathroom tiles (the Indian patterns inside it) and used that as an inspiration. She also studied the architectural layout plans for the Lotus temple which heavily influenced the final designs for the Sarvam AI logo. 3. Entire brand design team at Sarvam AI works primarily in @figma and explores thousands of iterations painstakingly by hand. This just goes to show that it's less about using the latest tools or AI models but the designer's desire to push the craft. Big shout to @AdyashaPadhy and @thedesignobsess for making this happen 🫶 👀 Watch Sarvam AI's brand design process:31221.4K

I interviewed with Figma in 2020 for a design advocate role and got rejected. They hired @miggi for that role which made me realize how high the bar was. But 5 years later I got to collaborate with them so no regrets 🙂Emil Kowalski @emilkowalskiBack in 2021 I interviewed at Vercel and I failed badly. I couldn’t implement a debounce function and was stuck for like 30 minutes. It was pretty embarrassing. 10 months later (2022) I interviewed again and got the job. Don’t give up!631097.5K

Couple of fun AI workflows I discovered recently are: 1. Exploring concepts visually in @figma and then sending them to @conductor_build to build and test with users (s/o to @p44v9n at Granola) 2. Using @Lovable to validate concepts even before the PRD is written by your PM (s/o to the @deel design team) 3. @bot maxxing - automating creating presentation decks, design concept explorations in @MagicPathAI (s/o to @theesabina) Check out the above workflows in detail on Sneak Peek 👇hyam @hyumankinddesigners, how are you using ai to streamline your design workflows? any fun tips/tricks you’ve discovered?31555.8K

This is how the Deel design team uses Lovable for validating concepts. I think this is an amazing workflow that more design teams should copy to test ideas and scope projects even before the PRD is even written. 👀 Watch Deel's prototyping process: Cris Arvaelo shows how he uses @Lovable for prototyping at @deel👇Jayneil Dalal @jayneilI just published an interview with the Deel design team. 3 things I learned about their design workflow: - Skip design systems and use @Lovable for early concept explorations - Build a UI playground for creating high fidelity prototypes and shipping PRs - Minimize token burn by dumping your @figma discovery board into Claude Code for context 👀 Watch full video for more takeaways: Cris Arvaelo shows @deel's UI playground👇02101.3K

This is how a designer at @meetgranola uses @conductor_build for shipping designs👇Jayneil Dalal @jayneilGranola is hands down the best AI note taker on the market because of how they design new features. So I asked @p44v9n to give a sneak peek into how @meetgranola team designs new features and took some notes: 1. Everyone at Granola is supposed to talk to a user once a week. Not just designers. 2. Cofounder @samstphenson shares prototypes with the design team to spark new ideas. The team also has 'Taste the Soup' sessions where anyone can present their work to get feedback from the founders. But the work has to be in code. 3. Entire company tries out new features before they get released to the users. 4. It's painful but the team remove features (eg - collaborative notes) users won't miss so the app doesn't get bloated. 🫣 Watch now:0091.1K

Had a blast getting a tour of the Razorpay office and seeing how @Razorpay_Design works. Probably the most AI pilled design team in India. Thanks @saurabhsoni_ss for making this happen 🫶Jaspreet Singh Saini @jaspreetdesign_@jayneil sneakpeek(ing) at @Razorpay_Design31743.3K

Jayneil DalalRT @Razorpay_Design: What are your plans this Friday, post Figma config? We're hosting another AI x Design meet-up with some amazing AI-pilled designers, 6pm onwards.010148
Jayneil DalalRT @alexdanilowicz: Today we're launching MagicOS. And we've come to the conclusion that designers are NOT getting replaced. most of the industry moved to the same answer this year: give the agent its own canvas, let it run, hand you the output. we made a different bet: the canvas should be yours and the agent is your collaborator. that’s MagicOS. most AI design tools are a linear conversation: prompt, generate, iterate, repeat. a hundred prompts in, you might have a great final design, but the reasoning, rejected directions, and inspiration that got you there are buried in a chat log nobody will ever scroll back through. MagicOS is a persistent, spatial canvas. Your PRD, inspiration images, design system, variations, rejected directions, final picks - all of it lives together, all in one place, instead of stacked on top of itself and lost. it’s voice-first. talk to it in real time and watch work land directly on the canvas as you speak. it’s also multiplayer. your whole team works on the same canvas together. and it still runs on your design system and components because none of this matters if the output doesn’t look like your actual product. three months ago, this was internal only at Magic Patterns, my co-founder's weekend project. it’s now live for everyone. Design everything, everywhere, all at once.02030169
I interviewed top design team in India (Swiggy, Razorpay, Sarvam) and the US (Ramp, Mercury, Deel and others). Here's how they are different 👇Jayneil Dalal @jayneil21263.3K
