Norway’s capture of a Russian ship in the Arctic is a fresh twist in a decade-long legal saga Ukraine has waged against Russia for the first act of expansionism in this war: the seizure of Crimea. My report from Svalbard, 800 miles south of the North Pole

This is not just a story of spies, guns and guts. It's also a moving family drama that gets inside the mind of a mother fighting for the survival of her only son - without knowing what desperate measures he himself was taking. I hope you read it

RT @faridaily_: Alexander Kynev, one of Russia’s most respected election experts, was arrested on drug trafficking charges. It’s a completely absurd accusation that could land him in prison for more than 10 years. Even by today’s standards, this is shockingly cruel. There can be no reason for this persecution other than political ones.
