Wong Fu Productions / Bopomofo Cafe. I used to say I was chasing peace of mind. But then I realized that "peace" never comes. Chase perspective.

- philipwang@philipwangDuring summer vacation as a kid, my dad would use his lunch break to bring home Arby’s to my sister & I. Back then it was 5 Roast Beef Sandwiches for $5 🤯 It was a great deal & one that my frugal immigrant dad, who loved this American thinly shaved beef, couldn’t resist.
8729029.4K - philipwang@philipwangPosts @philipwangSo on a recent drive down from the Bay, along the sparsely populated I-5, I noticed a lone Arby’s and decided to exit so he could try it once again. The “5 for 5” is long gone, but it felt good to buy Arby’s for him now 30 yrs later and “splurge” on anything he wanted to try. 🥹10406.4K
- philipwang@philipwangPosts @philipwangSeeing him smile, w/ that Horsey sauce hittin, on the side of the interstate on a beautiful spring day.. a memory I’ll treasure. Simple pleasures. This thread #notspon by @Arbys but I’d be super down guys so my dad can finally be proud of me 😜 Bring back 5for5 just for him!20766.7K
- philipwang@philipwangOk so.. The Law&Order party thinks low level felonies are excusable. The FamilyValues party wants to ignore this all started from adultery with a porn star. The AmericaFirst party still believes its best candidate is a twice impeached, reelection-losing, indicted con. Huh?!?02285.8K
- philipwang@philipwangWhat the hell man. I was so ready to lose my blue check. I'd much rather be "unverified" than be confused for someone who pays for this awful app. That's not a category I'd like to be grouped into lol
51025334.5K - philipwang@philipwangPosts @philipwangLook! You promised me weeks leading up! Turns out it was a bluff? If you're keeping me around as "legacy" can our check be like, grey, since we're old? 👴 Cause, it's not cool making it look like more ppl are paying for #twitterblue than there are. Cheap trick.
14678.4K - philipwang@philipwangIt’s always baffled me.. if my hobby/special interest was extremely dangerous & known to kill ppl incl kids I would absolutely expect/enforce tough rules and high standards to prevent anyone from doing it. I’d assume gun enthusiasts would be Most vocal for more regulation because11266.7K
- philipwang@philipwangPosts @philipwangUsually ppl with these dangerous hobbies and skills, such as scuba divers/electricians, are proud that they have the proper training and official certifications. Why aren’t gun enthusiasts more protective of their guns? Hell, magicians are more protective of their coin tricks.10204.4K
- philipwang@philipwangPosts @philipwangNo one is taking guns away. So why not just make it marginally harder for dangerous ppl to obtain? Just makes it very clear that gun fanatics don’t actually respect the weapons, the purpose, or the value of human lives. They just wanna pose in Xmas cards with them and argue.41174.2K
