RT @berniemoreno: Another phenomenal result of President Trump and Congressional Republican policies! Add this great result to these RECORDS: ✅ Lowest poverty recorded ✅ Highest average wages ✅ Most Americans working ✅ Largest amount of investment ✅ Massive drop in crime ✅ Drug overdose deaths way down ✅ Prescription drugs in US lower than anywhere else on earth ✅ Most secure border ✅ Federal workforce down to the lowest number since the 1960s If you want this success to continue, vote Republican on November 3rd. If you prefer America to be destroyed, have men in women’s sports, transgender surgeries on minors, and higher taxes than vote for Democrats who will always prioritize illegals, foreign countries, and just about everyone else above American citizens.

My first week using Grokbot I'm blown away. Tonight I got tickets for a concert with the kids with 70 punk bands and told Grokbot to build a Youtube playlist of the top songs to send the kids. It took me 30 seconds 🤯 Moreover, doing it by hand would have taken so long I wouldn't have done it and the kids would have no idea who the bands are 🤯

FWIW, I – like scholars ranging from Philip Tetlock to Kenneth Arrow to Daniel Kahneman – believe that there are positive externalities to prediction markets (more widely available accurate information, the ability to hedge against future events, e.g.), and that they work differently than actual betting markets. That doesn’t mean people can’t and don’t abuse them. But people do the same with day trading, and that doesn’t mean the stock market is the same thing as DraftKings.

BREAKING: NYT reports that operatives with Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign were behind the effort to find & recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan to run against incumbent GOP Senator Dan S. Sullivan in an effort to confuse voters and peel votes from him. Specifically, NYT says they have reviewed text messages and documents that reveal in summer 2025, a Peltola staffer received instructions from campaign staffers to find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as possible. The staffer complied, going through voter records, and compiled a list. The operation “involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs.” Per NYT: “The plan worked. This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.”

RT @profstonge: Prediction markets can be insurance for the little guy. Tea companies hedging tariffs. Farmers hedging weather. Mom-and-pops hedging another pandemic shutdown. Wall Street's been doing this for decades. Now Main Street could get a piece. 💪
    TreasuryBonds.com @TreasuryBonds1
Small businesses are starting to use prediction markets to hedge tariffs, shipping costs, and bad weather. Tea company Zest used a prediction market payout to help offset tariff-related lost sales. Its founder also helped develop a contract that pays when container shipping costs exceed certain thresholds. Other businesses are experimenting with weather contracts to hedge canceled kayak trips, slower ice cream sales, and crop damage. Prediction markets are leveling the playing field for small businesses.

Yesterday, President Trump was in Texas highlighting the economic success his policies have delivered. We're proud to be part of that momentum. T1 is building G2_Austin, an advanced photovoltaic manufacturing facility in Texas, with an estimated 2.1 GW Phase 1 capital expenditure in excess of $500 million. G2_Austin is expected to create an estimated 1,500 high-paying advanced manufacturing jobs with a $120 million payroll in Milam County, Texas, while helping to reshore a critical industry. Modern socialism, including Progressivism, is a direct descendant of a 350-year old sect called Millenarian Pietism. Pietism aimed to erase all barriers -- gender, race, religion, poverty, who you sleep with -- to unite the masses into a flame of righteousness to violently topple the oligarchy, replaced with technocrat saints. Who just so happen to be the movement leaders. The Second Coming but instead of Jesus, "your face here" -- Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot. RT @HashemiNoosheen: This is why AI in medicine is going to change everything. Many of the worst diseases we fight today, from Parkinson’s to Alzheimer’s to cancer, all share one root cause. Proteins in our bodies folding the wrong way. Johns Hopkins just secured up to $52M from @ARPA_H to lead a team of 7 institutions building an AI that can predict exactly how those proteins misfold. Once we can see the shape, we can design drugs that target only the bad versions and leave the healthy ones alone. In the first phase, they’re analyzing 1 billion protein structures and testing 100 million drug candidates. This is American medicine leaping into the future.
