#Rufc player ratings for Shrewsbury Town
Some positives, some negatives, but ultimately 2 points thrown away
Eyestone - 3 - a kid that has been thrown in the deep end and looks like he’s struggling, another poor showing today, his distribution was poor, glued to his line, and didn’t command his area as a goalkeeper should, still only a kid but has cost the Millers goals and points, unlucky with the first goal not being a foul but still needs to be stronger and commanding
Rafferty - 7 - vintage raff, worked hard, can tell the influence he has on the team, competed well, and managed the aerial threat of Shrewsbury quite well, some theatrics at the end too
Hall - 7 - asked to play centre half and did the job well, competed well and was defensively solid, when moved further up the pitch he was the main influence on the team, brought energy and endeavour going forward
Iorfa - 5 - hoping the head injury isn’t significant as he seemed to find his flow, still has that chaotic side but was much more assured in his defensive play
Ngwenya - 5 - again, seems to be playing out of position, slow to react to crosses, never truly influences proceedings going forward, aggressive defender who should be moved more centrally
Fitzgerald - 8 - every good thing came through this man, found his rhythm in men’s football and is proving difficult to deal with, glides around the pitch, has an edge, and technically superb, brings energy and calm to the midfield
Austerfield - 6 - competed and ran hard for the full 90 minutes, needs to affect the game more than he does, showed up for the fight when it mattered
Spence - 3 - energetic and his lovely pass to Nemane set up the second goal but the needless tackle put his team on the back foot, now serving a 3 match ban with midfield injuries, maybe a harsh red but a silly tackle nonetheless
Nemane - 7 - positive, direct, nippy, again. Always picks the right pass and looks to make something happen, miles better as a winger than a wingback, hoping his form continues
Mullin - 8 - scored 2 and could have had a few more, very few in this league are as clinical as Mullin and even fewer score the goals that he gets, came off with cramp in second half due to his hard work rate, always gives 100%
Buyabu - 5 - hard to give him any higher as he was sacrificed for another midfielder, unlucky to see himself go off as he was beating his man consistently, will be left frustrated
Substitutes:
Cover - 5 - ratted around and worked hard but struggled to truly get into the game, hasn’t hit the heights he showed at the start of the season since his international duty
Aljofree - 5 - struggled against a physical Shrewsbury side but competed well and got his head to clearances when it mattered
Williams - 5 - passionate, committed and confident, but was evident that the rust will still need shaking off first, tried to get forward and offered enough defensively to show he was a good pickup
Bradshaw - 6 - that’s the impact Bradshaw can have on a game, come on and competed but his true strength is obvious in his finishing ability, similar to Mullin in that not many have the ability to finish that chance
