I have talked to security teams from small to fortune500 companies in the past week. It’s deeply worrying that <1% of them are using abliterated models. These models are a step function in offensive capability that adversaries now have access to.
The bottle is open and the only way is forward and we need to move fast as possible.
Skeptical? Happy to give you $10 to try them on @BoundlessHQ.

In a single year, AI has rewritten the security priority list for CISOs.
Attackers are moving faster. Bain estimates AI compresses a typical cyberattack from about four weeks to about 18 hours, and models keep getting better at finding and exploiting weaknesses.
There's also more to protect, with employees shipping apps they couldn't have built a year ago and agents getting access to source code, documents, and production systems.
In a survey of 100 CISOs at companies with 1,000+ employees, all seven of the most-selected 2027 priorities involve AI.
The biggest jumps since 2026:
- Internal AI agent security (+28 pts)
- AI SOC (+26 pts)
- AI offensive security (+24 pts)
- AI code security (+23 pts)
- AI vulnerability remediation (+22 pts)
Last year's staples:
- Exposure & vulnerability management (-21 pts)
- SIEM / security data (-18 pts)
- Privileged access management (-18 pts)

Google’s new model Gemini 4 Carbon beats Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra on most benchmarks and ranks #1 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.
Let’s see if it can shake up Anthropic’s IPO.

RT @BoundlessHQ: Our VP of Engineering, @emilianobonassi, built a playground where an open model's personality changes with every message.
It moves a few specific neurons for one request, then moves them back. Each answer shows which ones.

For Halloween, I've been doing some brain surgery on an open model 🎃🧟
Taking inspiration from @_lyraaaa_ 's work
Push 2 of its neurons and Qwen3.5-4B becomes a cookie lover. Push 1 and it's a lawyer
Built a small app on top of @BoundlessHQ so anyone can try 👇

This is what owning the stack down to the engine lets you do: not just serve a model, but steer it live, one request at a time.
Go try to break Emi's playground. Then tell us what you'd build with it.

I think they need to push Alexa shopping with vigor.
Get a voice model that crushes and make a re-announcement of agentic shopping.
Though.. what they will possibly do is.. Try to sell devices to put one in every room or something and say they will deal with monetizing later or something. (Some Principal PM gets promoted for using all leadership principles in 1 paragraph!!)
Also - tbh, I’ve kind of stopped shopping as much on Amazon. I buy like whiteboard markers and books. Maybe I grew up.. or Amazon is full of crappy products now. 🤷♂️
I would prefer Costco Agentic Shopping instead.. though.

Will the majority of tokens flow through open or closed models?
“My suspicion is that there will always be a market for frontier. There will always be some new thing.
Science may be the next thing that frontier is being set at.
But I think predominantly token usage will be commodity token usage.” @satyanadella
Love to hear your thoughts @natolambert@lqiao@Thom_Wolf@swyx

stay safu friends.
Constantly review access, use MDM properly, remember that your security/IT person is your friend.
Do everything you need to do secure access and production.

someone outside our GitHub org deleted one of our private repos.
no membership or invite or role. nothing in our org or enterprise audit logs gave them access. just one repo.destroy from the gh CLI.
and it's not in deleted repositories, so no restore.
@github how is this possible, what sorcery is this?

This is a lil bit weird.

Last week, my team identified a clear need: security teams wanted abliterated models for authorized testing, while standard models often refused the prompts required to probe a defense properly.
We shipped @BoundlessHQ Defensive Access in about a day.
The response generated more inbound than any previous model announcement we’ve made.
Choosing an inference partner comes down to 3 things: models, performance and economics. It also comes down to whether the team can move at the speed your product demands..
AI-native teams cannot wait weeks for an infrastructure provider to catch up to a new workload. They need a partner that can understand the requirement, make the right model available, build the serving and access layer around it, and ship while the need is still urgent. This is how we work at @BoundlessHQ.
Defensive Access is application-only, with each company and use case reviewed before access is granted, because speed still requires judgment.
This is the standard we’re building Boundless around: the right models, strong economics and a team that ships quickly.
