3-step guide to a viral launch from SF founders: 1. jump out of a plane to launch 2. set a realistic goal, like hitting #1 on Product Hunt in 24 hours with 0 prep 3. make your users a promise you’ll keep, like breaking a Guinness World Record for the tallest pancake stack if they help you win observe the consequences. we're picking a place to break the record rn btw

7 months ago i posted this and it got 4.4M views but i’m curious, has your marketing team actually gotten smaller since then? surprisingly, for most people i talk to, the answer is still no. and i’ve been wondering... why is that? shouldn't AI be gradually making teams leaner? i think part of it is Jevons paradox: teams just get more ambitious and everyone starts tokenmaxxing harder lol. but i think a lot of it is also a skill issue (and honestly, understandable) getting agents to reliably do useful work for your business is STILL giga confusing, especially if you’re non-technical. you need tons of context and data, the right tools connected, and it’s a genuine pain in the ass to set up you can’t expect a business owner or a department inside a big company to figure this out on the side. learning to set it up in a safe, secure, trustworthy way is basically a full-time job and it’s especially true for GTM the growth marketing guy at Anthropic had Claude plugged into his ad data, a custom Figma plugin, an MCP server, and a memory system. but most teams have NONE of that so when they ask Claude to “find 50 warm leads and reach out,” it understands the task. but it doesn’t know their customers, it has no live lead data, and it has nowhere safe to send from so when they ask Claude to “find 50 warm leads and reach out,” it understands the task. but it doesn’t know their customers, it has no live lead data, and it has nowhere safe to send from so i’ve been trying out a bunch of the GTM MCPs that plug into Claude to see which ones actually close that gap Apollo and Clay both have one now, so Claude can search for leads and enrich contacts directly. each one covers a single piece of the workflow though, so you’re still wiring the rest together yourself another one i'm testing rn is Pancake MCP, which tries to handle the whole loop. it builds a “GTM brain” from your website first, then its agents use that to find warm leads and run outbound, and it learns from each campaign still early with all of them, but will share which ones actually hold up!

This is huge! Been waiting for someone to solve this since agents took off earlier this year. Agents need their own identity to sign up and use tools on their own behalf, not mine.

Last release of the week: one Play can now send from your whole team's LinkedIn. Connect each teammate's account and Pancake shares new leads between them in turn. Each lead keeps the same sender. Thanks for following along all week. The biggest is yet to come.

Third release this week: Pancake now works inside Claude. Tell Claude who you want to reach and it builds the Play. It checks the cost with you first, then brings back leads scored for fit. When they look right, it adds them to your sequence. Demo below.

Second huge release this week: personalized messages. It's the one you asked us for the most. For each message in a sequence, pick AI or write it yourself. Every lead gets messages based on what they actually posted or reacted to, and you can still change any line. Demo below.

Today we're releasing Plays. You describe who you want to reach. Pancake asks a couple of questions, then goes and finds them, and every lead comes back with the reason it fits. Shh, it's still early access.

Just realized I work a 35-hour week. Very French. 8pm–3am, after putting my son to bed. 5 nights a week (sometimes 6). That’s my second workweek.

When your customers are this good, let them do the talking. @KhraminaDianka is one of the sharpest GTM minds I’ve met. From GTM leader at a Series C company to becoming a YC founder, she’s now crushing it with Pancake. So happy to have her as a customer 🔥

Episode 3 of The Autonomous Company is out. I sat down with @contextconor, founder of @hyperspell (YC F25). His warning: plugging an AI agent into everything is the worst thing you can do. It picks the wrong doc and you are wrong faster. Full episode below.

@contextconor @hyperspell And the worst advice he got as a founder: 'you need a great idea to start'. He got rejected by YC more than once, slept in a closet in a hacker house, and kept going. His version: start with a customer, they hand you the idea.
