    Keep politics & religion aside. Having seen her posts, main agenda seems to be gaining mileage to further her political ambitions. Let her fight for the city - submit petitions to clear encroachments, fix broken footpaths, leaking sewerage, dwindling greenery etc. She won't.

    Counselling. This single thing encourages traffic violators to repeat the offence. Why counsel? Everyone knows using mobile phone while driving, wrong side driving, breaking signals etc. are offences. Put a hefty fine. Fear of law will deter them next time.

But there is a new chapter of social infrastructure being written in South Hyderabad today: - Forum Mall at Prestige City, Rajendra Nagar - Aparna Neo Vibe Mall, Satamrai - GMR Interchange Mall, GMR Aerocity And this is just as of 2026. 2035 will be a different story altogether.

    Took me by surprise this morning getting caught in a traffic jam at 6:15 am under the Prakash Nagar metro. Two huge trailers going parallelly for idol immersion. In the 90s, there were just 4-5 places where Durga Puja was celebrated, mostly by the Bengali community.

    100’s of DJ open trucks for Durga Puja near Tankbund in Hyderabad. Confetti all over the roads. Procession is heading for immersion. This was never a thing in Hyderabad even 5 years ago. Last month it was Ganesh immersion. Non stop pollution of our water bodies, that too with El Niño warnings. Have we totally lost it?

    Had to meet someone who was staying at Hotel Welkin, . It is located in same premises which has the Zam Zam Bakery, Hotel Ambassador & a tiffin centre. The level of filth & sewerage is unimaginable. This is the reality of the city, not those drone shots of tall buildings.

    The Uppal stadium looks so bland & lifeless. IPL does bring the stadium to life with the lighting & all those frills. Two prominent visible brands on the stands are Pan Parag & Shikhar. @BCCI the richest cricket board, should bring some better brands & add some glitz.

Nearly 60% of the work has been completed. Farmers who own land within the lake’s boundaries have voluntarily offered 70 acres in the full tank level (FTL) area for its development. They met the HYDRAA commissioner and submitted a letter of consent, according to the HYDRAA. The lake, which once supported local communities and attracted birds, is among 14 waterbodies being developed by HYDRAA in the second phase of its lake restoration programme. The project covers a lake with an FTL area of 112.80 acres and involves an expenditure of about ₹ 35 crore. Local residents have been visiting the site to see the progress of the work. Kapra Lake supports migratory birds and biodiversity The Centre has recognised Kapra Lake as a wetland of importance to the city’s ecological balance, according to the source text. The lake provides a habitat for more than 470 migratory bird species arriving from Australia, Europe and other parts of the world. Besides storing water, the wetland supports birds, aquatic animals and vegetation. HYDRAA is therefore giving priority to protecting the lake’s natural environment and biodiversity alongside its development. The project aims to preserve the waterbody for future generations, rather than focus solely on beautification. Restoration work prioritises flood control and ecological protection HYDRAA is undertaking desilting to improve the lake’s capacity to hold water and help naturally filter pollutants and waste. The work is also intended to support groundwater recharge, reduce flooding during heavy rains and protect habitats for fish, birds, amphibians and other aquatic life. The agency is increasing the lake’s depth to store more rainwater. It is also improving the inlet and outlet systems and building a walking track around the waterbody. A strong fence is being installed around the lake to protect its boundaries and prevent future encroachments. The project aims to combine lake conservation, improved rainwater flow and public access.     The foremost credit for all this goes to a team of women who came together to start @savekapralake. They have been relentlessly working for several years saving the lake from disappearing beneath concrete and waste, and encroachment. HYDRAA came in much later.
