Yet Hyderabad Metro Phase-II (162 km) has zero dedicated corridor for this high-density zone. No OD survey. No ridership study. No comparative analysis. Apparently, @MoHUA_India's RTI reveal the proposal is currently under appraisal in MoHUA (File No. K-14011/19/2024-MRTS-II-Part(1)) further refused to disclose the DPR. Just arbitrary exclusion while pushing lower-density corridors that risk becoming white elephants. This is blatant violation of Article 14 (equality) & Article 21 (right to dignified mobility). Public funds + central share at stake. MoHUA has forwarded my grievance (DOURD/E/2026/0010273) to Govt of Telangana & HMRL regarding exclusion of Malkajgiri in the Project. Our Clear Demands: Immediate independent IIT/CRRI audit of ridership projections and equity. Mandatory inclusion of Tarnaka–ECIL–Neredmet–Secunderabad–Parade Grounds corridor in Phase-II/III. Full public disclosure of all DPRs, traffic studies, and decision records. Public funds + Central share at risk of being wasted on lower-priority corridors. If the Telangana Government and MoHUA fail to correct this injustice immediately, the citizens of Malkajgiri will have no option but to approach the Hon’ble High Court of Telangana for enforcement of constitutional rights and equitable development. #MalkajgiriNeedsMetro #HyderabadMetroPhase2 #TelanganaGovt #UrbanEquity

    As part of the 99 Days Action Plan | Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika Week 1 | Day 5 The #Malkajgiri Municipal Commissioner visited Kapra Lake to inspect the sanitation and cleaning works being carried out in the lake premises and surrounding areas. During the inspection, the MMC Commissioner reviewed the overall cleanliness conditions and interacted with the sanitation staff to understand the ground-level operations. He enquired about the cleaning equipment, waste collection process, and maintenance activities being undertaken to maintain the lake environment. To gain first-hand insight into the sanitation work, the Commissioner also joined the sanitation workers in the cleaning activity, appreciating their efforts and dedication in maintaining public spaces. The surrounding areas of the lake were thoroughly inspected, and the concerned officials were instructed to ensure regular cleaning, proper waste management, and strict monitoring to prevent dumping of garbage around the lake premises.     RT @HydREGuide: HYDRAA Gets 303 Cr Govt Boost to Revive 14 Lakes in Phase 2 Following the successful revival of Bathukamma Kunta and Kukatpally Nalla Cheruvu, Bum Rukn ud Daula lake and with works in progress at Sunnam Cheruvu and Uppal Nalla Cheruvu, HYDRAA has secured approval for 303 crore to kick off Phase 2 of its lake rejuvenation drive, covering 14 more lakes across the city. Phase 2 will take up prominent lakes such as Khajaguda Lake, Nallagandla Lake, Kamuni Cheruvu in Moosapet, and Ibrahim Lake in Manikonda, which is a big step in restoring Hyderabad’s urban water bodies.

    Despite its vast network of 12k wetlands, Telangana is among just four states without a Ramsar site, an international tag for globally important #wetlands. India has 98 Ramsar sites led by Tamil Nadu with 20. While AP secured one at Kolleru Lake in 2002.
