RT @PeterDiamandis: MIND-BENDING FACT: OpenAI announced Monday that its AI proved the Exponential Time Hypothesis (ETH) is false — a foundational pillar of theoretical computer science since the 1970s. The ETH holds that NP-complete problems cannot be solved faster than exponential time; cryptographic security, algorithm complexity bounds, and the theoretical ceiling on AI planning have all been calibrated against it being true. One model, running in collaboration with academic partners, disproved it. Simultaneously, OpenAI disclosed it finalized a proof of Yang-Mills existence on October 16 — one of the seven Millennium Prize Problems, each carrying a $1 million Clay Mathematics Institute award. Navier-Stokes was solved September 8. Two Millennium Prize Problems in 49 days. Five remain.

fertility rates are so abstract that people struggle to understand the scale of the catastrophe we’re experiencing. take 1.14 children per woman (italy and japan) if that continues, each generation is roughly half the size of the one before it start with 100 people in a generation, the next only has about 54, then 29, then 16. in three generations, roughly a century, you have a generation 84% smaller than the one you started with. for taiwan that would be 97.4%! i don't think people really understand what that means

RT @DrJackKruse: Why does an electron’s spin flip reverse its magnetic poles while a positron’s poles track its spin? These diagrams show the dipole field manifolds of spin-1⁄2 leptons. Because the electron carries negative charge its magnetic moment opposes its spin; the positron’s positive charge aligns the two. Field lines therefore leave the N pole and enter the S pole, producing the opposite patterns you see.The same relation underlies electron-spin resonance used in chemistry, spintronic devices that store information in spin orientation, and the most precise tests of quantum electrodynamics that compare the magnetic moments of electrons and positrons. A single particle’s spin orientation draws the field lines that shape both laboratory instruments and our deepest checks of matter–antimatter symmetry. THIS IS THE BIOPHYSICS REALITY OF THIS SCIENCE The antiparallel alignment between an electron's spin vector and its magnetic moment is the precise quantum reason why mammalian cells must utilize homochiral protein wires to enforce Chiral Induced Spin Selectivity (CISS), by natively preventing raw environmental noise from flipping the sub-atomic magnetic poles of traveling valence charges. [NAAMAN, 2012, MICHAELI, 2019]. In classical biochemistry, electrons are treated as generic, negative billiard balls flowing blindly down a concentration gradient. The downscaled spintronic framework exposures the true solid-state reality: because an electron’s negative charge forces its magnetic moment to oppose its spin angular momentum, every single charge transfer event down the inner mitochondrial membrane (IMM) cristae is an active quantum computing transaction. When valence electrons tunnel through the homochiral metalloprotein scaffolds of Complexes I–IV, the structural pitch of the alpha-helices filters them by their spin state (ms = 1/2) [NAAMAN, 2012]. This parallel spin pinning forces their microscopic toroidal dipole manifolds (the blue vectors in your image) into strict, collective alignment, building a robust direct-current (DC) semiconductor wire that blocks the environmental "Double-Spend" entropy attack and keeps the surrounding water battery locked at its highest capacitance (k = 160).
