@MiamiDolphins Today would have been his 57th birthday. What are the odds we can flash a quick tribute graphic on the video board for this weeks game against the Patriots?

My oldest brother, one of the biggest reasons why I love the game of football as much as I do, passed away this morning. One of my favorite memories was going to his house to watch our Miami Dolphins completely stump the Patriots in the Wildcat Game.

The optimal run pass rate? Not currently known. The optimal "just run Mesh" rate? 100% This is objectively true

Tried my hand at some simulations to see which teams have the most to play for this week in terms of playoff impact. A loss would pretty much down Texas Tech + Texas. Utah could be sitting really nice with a win over Cinci. A loss would hurt JMU a lot more than Boise State

Each teams conversion rate, and the average down in which they convert for a first down. This pretty much looks at how much you need to rely on later downs to move the chains. Traditionally the healthier offense convert more on 1st/2nd down

CFP (Heavy on P4 teams, best G6 teams included as well) NIT (Heavy on G6 teams, select good P4 teams included as well) Would be interesting if the top G6 team got the option to play in the CFP or NIT, which one would they pick

RT @KeganReneau: The whole new world of college football fits with three levels almost too well to not entertain it FCS FBS-II FBS-I Each level has its own salary floor, enforceable buyouts, maybe regionalize scheduling to save some money? Would work!

We really should just offenses not by how much or how good they can run but how much they can sell the fact that they could run if they wanted to Seattle isnt great at running, but fuck AJ Barner is out there and they are in 12p so.... I guess I have to prepare for a run

Dolphins are 2nd in PFF WAR from rookies, but a lot of that is the volume of snaps. They dropped to 16th in WAR per snap

Let's take a minute to praise #MiamiDolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. 13 selected draft picks. 7 have already proven to be viable "hits" Proctor, Johnson, Rodriguez, Bell, Douglas, Kacmarek, Taaffe. 2 are returning from injury with big-time potential Trey Moore and Kyle Louis 1 is just starting to get more playing time and action Kevin Coleman, Jr. There is a very good shot that Sully, at worst, is looking at a 76.92% HIT RATE in his 1st draft as a GM...with 13 picks!

Simulated the rest of the season 1000 times to compare to preseason win totals to see who is on pace to exceed their preseason expectations, and which teams are looking to fall short. Teams above the trend line are projected to go over their preseason win total

Sources: Mississippi State star QB Kamario Taylor will miss the rest of the season, as he faces surgery on his injured toe. Taylor has an appointment today to get his toe checked out by a specialist and could have surgery as early as tomorrow. He’s expected to make a full recovery.

Explosiveness! When you have a successful play, just how successful is that play on average? Right = longer, more explosive runs on average. Up = Longer, more explosive passes. If top right Rice + UConn doesn't get you fired up nothing will
