Sebastian Daschner

Happy to announce that my deep-dive video course on all things productivity has now been fully published! 📺 This course is for any developers who want to get on the next level in how effectively they're doing their work. #effectivedeveloper

How to write your own MCP server with Java, @QuarkusIO, and Goose:

Coding with Codename Goose, a command line AI agent: #effectivedeveloper #ai

RT @DaschnerS: Coding with Codename Goose from @blockopensource, a command line AI agent: #effectivedeveloper

Just tried goose for the first time. Really impressed! Created and configured an example Quarkus application, started Docker containers, etc. all by itself 🤯 (used Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet - with all others incl. ollama it had some issues or poor outcome)

Ohhkay, even more impressed. Pointed a new session to a Quarkus project and let it explore how to send HTTP requests. It went on trying out commands, examining code and coming up with a correct solution. Integrating commands and feeding back their output is a real gamechanger

How to transfer small amounts of data with QR codes on the Linux #commandline -- for offline usage and privacy:

RT @gunnarmorling: A true super-power to have as a software engineer is finding the right level of detail and depth for a given conversation, depending on its context, participants, goals, available time, etc. It's a rare skill, so you often end up with either too much information, or not enough.

RT @sjmaple: Happy to announce AI Native Dev Con, a virtual conference about AI-powered development today and tomorrow, taking place on November 21st. The CFP is now open, and you can also register to save your spot

RT @RiyadhJUG: Join @DaschnerS 's online talk 🎤 on the Principles of Effective Developers to explore key principles that can enhance developer productivity and improve the overall development experience. 🗓️ Mon, Oct 21 🕢 8:00 PM AST (KSA Time) 🆓 Free event Register:
