#Odisha’s rooftop solar journey is setting new benchmarks under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. From just 3,617 installations in FY 2024-25 to 56,019 in FY 2025-26 — a remarkable 31-fold growth in rooftop solar adoption. With 52,991 installations added in the first two months of FY 2026-27, Odisha has now crossed 1.12 lakh rooftop solar installations, transforming homes into clean energy hubs across the State. A total of 8,658 personnel have been deployed for cyclone preparedness, with an additional 973 skilled and unskilled project personnel on standby, reinforcing the organisation’s readiness to respond to potential disruptions. Complementing our 24×7 Centralised Power System Control Centre (PSCC) to monitor the situation and coordinate response efforts, decentralised Area Power System Control Centres (APSCCs) at Rourkela, Balangir and Kalahandi are operational round the clock, covering eight divisions. Divisional-level control rooms have also been activated to facilitate effective coordination during the cyclone.
