Researchers analysed data from 21,259 adults without diabetes in nine European cohorts. Using an exposome approach, they looked at #airpollution, temperature and green space together rather than one at a time. Higher exposure to PM10 particles, combined with higher and more variable temperatures, was associated with higher HbA1c, a marker of average blood glucose over two to three months. The study is observational, so causality remains open. Still, the findings add to evidence that ai rpollution and a changing #climate are part of the metabolic risk picture. Cleaner air in cities, where heat, pollution and diabetes risk often overlap, could be part of #NCDs prevention.
