010016 - Lady Cactoid🌵❤️RT @NaughtalieStone: Hi 👋 friendly PSA re: @cryptopunks General Manager @nodefnd - since a lot of questions have come my way about the position: 1. First off, you should apply! It truly is a dream job that changed my life for the better, yes it can be tough and you will need to be tough too - but the opportunity is beyond worth it. I always used to remind myself and the team how we were to work on something that so many people cared so deeply about… 2. Update: I work with @larvalabs now across all their projects (dream job, part 2) so I’m not available nor am I applying. That being said - I can’t wait to support and help whoever gets the role as we’ll certainly be working hand in hand at times on the legacy of Matt & John 🙏 3. On some level I’ll admit…it was hard to move on and let go, but it was time. I suspect this is the type of role that will change hands many times - the collection itself keeps changing, and whoever’s serving the Punks community and project at any given moment needs different approaches and skills. I’m grateful to have joined @nodefnd during the transition of stewardship and the exhibition - and now I truly feel complete with my contribution. 4. Whoever takes on this position should approach the position from a place of reverence and care, not power or control. Punks can / should / will evolve and unfold in ways that the even the creators cannot dictate. This, in fact, is their magic. Move softly, but this doesn’t mean “nothing” - find and share a collective North Star.026018

- Lady Cactoid🌵❤️RT @sashastiles: i spent my time at @HitoSteyerl’s “the island” at fondazione prada marveling at steyerl’s adept media montage as a kind of operatic genre, pushing pathos deliberately into bathos so fully it becomes pathos again. i really loved this show, especially having written poems many years back on the immortal jellyfish, turritopsis dohrnii, and having thought a lot about AI and voice/choir/opera through the lens of folks like @hollyherndon @matdryhurst @kalladomcdowell @Reeps1. artificial islands, scientists, quantum physics, archeologists, singers, poetry, flash gordon, fake youtube ads, cinema seats, and the description of jellyfish as “wings of ink”… just so deeply clever.012020
- Lady Cactoid🌵❤️RT @RogerDickerman: ANNOUNCEMENT: 'RECURSION 遞迴 Dataset 1314' by @sougwen with @fellowshiptrust sells for $150,000 USD to a private US collection. Exhibited in March at @ArtBasel Hong Kong Zero 10, the artwork is a digital inscription derived from 1,314 selected drawings and bio signal sessions from which the RECURSIONS system is built. In Chinese, the number 1314 (一三一四) is a homophone for 一生一世, meaning "for a lifetime", a testament to the devotional nature of artistic practice. Via @halecar2: “For Fellowship, it’s incredibly important that monumental works like R1314 find collectors who understand how they represent breakthroughs and pivotal moments in an artist’s career. Their support and commitment to collecting these works help propel the artist’s practice forward.”023014
