Diana Panchenko 🇺🇦 @Panchenko_XBREAKING: Journalists investigating corruption in Ukraine will face 5 years in prison. Zelensky wants me and my journalist colleagues to stay silent about how he’s stealing your billions. He’s taking the last thing left - freedom of speech. We bring you the truth.
Sonja Terpstra 🐓 @TerpsSonjaDo you really think a liberal/ON coalition will care? Only Labor invests in public health. The libs will cut it.

Ryan Dally @Ryandally08Labor backflips AGAIN quietly watering down their own “stealth” super tax after industry revolt. Jim Chalmers has quietly scrambled to fix yet another disaster from his heavily criticised May budget, backing down on a stealth superannuation tax that threatened $378 billion in assets. After fierce backlash from the entire super industry, Labor has completely “changed their position” on the complex "loss ordering" rules. If they hadn't U-turned, it would have slugged millions of Australians with a $55 million annual tax hit, costing everyday investors up to $500 more for every $10,000 of affected capital gains. But true to form, the “fix” leaves a massive sting in the tail. While single investor trusts can now disregard the rules, funds co invested alongside non super entities are left stranded in limbo. Their fate rests entirely on broad ministerial discretion, creating “additional complexity” and ongoing uncertainty for retirement savings through layers of legislative instruments. First it was the death tax and widow's tax rollbacks, now this. Labor cannot be trusted with your money. They cook up stealth taxes in secret, spark industry wide panic, and then write sloppy, high discretion exemptions on the fly when they get caught out. Standard operating procedure for a government that treats your retirement fund like their personal ATM.
Joaquin Castro @JoaquinCastrotxLosing an election is not grounds for asylum. Yet the Trump Administration is giving Flávio Bolsonaro safe haven in the United States. In Brazil, he is under investigation for alleged corruption, money laundering and currency evasion, and was ordered to surrender his passports. The Trump Administration owes Congress answers on its role helping Bolsonaro flee Brazil in contravention of Brazilian law.

Quentin Dempster @QuentinDempsterCongratulations Robert McClelland AO, our new @NACCgovau Commissioner. Please show a cynical public that NACC will not hesitate to use its powers to expose serious/systemic corruption. What about electorate pork barreling to wipe that smirk off Albo’s face? Then .. arms trader slush/influence in defence procurement? Go for it. We need to TRUST our governments.
