"Ethereum was never meant to belong to one person, one company, or one foundation. It was always meant to be a living and growing network of nodes, ideas, people and organizations." We're proud to be funding @ethlabs_org alongside these incredible organizations and individuals. Kudos to @GolemFoundation's direct funding initiative that's made this possible.Mihai Alisie @MihaiAlisieAs an Ethereum co-founder people sometimes ask me what has changed since 2014. The answer is almost everything. The tech, the scale and the stakes. But back in 2014, all our soul-searching boiled down to a single question: for profit or not? We chose non-profit to keep the Ethereum protocol and vision as pure as possible. Twelve years later, we're witnessing that same bold choice being made again. This time by @ethlabs_org, a non-profit lab built by researchers who helped shape Ethereum, with the independence to do what's right for its long-term future. Twelve long years and the non-profit spirit we chose back then still beats at Ethereum's heart. But one thing hasn't changed: Ethereum was never meant to belong to one person, one company, or one foundation. It was always meant to be a living and growing network of nodes, ideas, people and organizations. That's why I'm both happy and proud to join @ethlabs_org as an Anchor funder. I'm grateful to stand alongside my fellow Ethereum co-founder @ethereumJoseph and @BitMNR, @Sharplink, @snzholding, @krakenfx, @Anchorage, @Payward, @OctantApp, @gattacahq, @Lomashuk and so many other amazing supporters helping Ethereum’s innovation layer become just as distributed as its infrastructure. In 2014, we chose the non-profit path to keep Ethereum's vision incorruptible. In 2026, the ecosystem is choosing the distributed path to keep its innovation unstoppable. Both choices come from the same belief: Ethereum belongs to everyone, and no single entity should carry it alone. The multi-node future isn't coming. It's here. What a joy! ❤️1524715

Ethereum co-founder @MihaiAlisie joins as an anchor funder, @payward and @gattacahq join as contributors, and 19 new supporters from the Ethereum community are now backing our mission. Thousands of people across the world have spent years building Ethereum and holding $ETH, we aim to honor their commitment by becoming an open, accessible, and user-focused organization that supports the development of both this unstoppable network and its immutable asset. We care deeply about what makes Ethereum special: its credible neutrality, security, censorship resistance and openness. We also believe that Ethereum's potential is only realized when people use it at scale and when it remains the natural place to innovate, issue assets, hold + settle value, and be the home to a digital future its users can own. A big thank you to our initial anchor funders @BitMNR, @Sharplink, and @ethereumJoseph; to everyone joining us today, to the countless people and organizations that make Ethereum possible, and to all who have supported our work so far. There is an enormous amount left to do, and we are fortunate to have so many people who believe that it is worth doing. Now back to work. Funders: Weekly updates:1726226290K

Ever feel like the news cycle is just completely bleak? 🙁 @Crypto_Altruism show the better side: collaboration, public goods, and the social and environmental impact of web3. In other words, they showcase @ethereum's real-world value. We've been keeping up with them for some time now. They were part of Octant's Epoch 9 and Epoch 10. Give them a follow and get inspired by the stories they tell ✨1215483
OctantRT @0xCurvy: privacy is needed not to build yourself into somebody's moat. @lazartravica010147
Is that perk *really* worth your private data? 🤔 Online privacy has real world consequences. You don't have to aim to be *perfectly* private, but always take a second to pause before hitting "share access." Eduardo from colibri.stateless and PAP (@CorpusCoreHQ), @wildp4u from @vocdoni, and @LoringHarkness from @ShutterNetwork share their thoughts on protecting privacy online.118395
OctantRT @0xCurvy: Privacy is only as strong as its weakest link. @HOPRnet and @Gnosis_VPN protect how your traffic moves. But what happens when paying for an exit node reveals who's using it? That's where Curvy comes in. Private networking meets private payments. No public link between users and the exit nodes they fund. Here's how it works 👇040169

As millions of people continue to take to the streets worldwide, encrypted messaging, VPNs, and privacy tools prove to be far from being niche tech. They’re how people stay safe while exercising their right to be heard. 🗣️3521992

Still can't get over how cool the projects which were part of the Epoch 13 are. One of them is built by @wslyvh. Paperweight uses your inbox as a map of your digital footprint. It discovers accounts and services, finds personal information and known breaches, and gives you tools to clean up old emails, unsubscribe and send privacy or deletion requests. Useful privacy 🫡Wesley— oss/acc @wslyvhThank you @OctantApp and everyone who contributed to this round.
