After more than four years of wrongful detention, I'm glad to see the long-overdue release of American Stephen Hubbard from captivity in Russia. Having advocated for his freedom, I'm grateful to President Trump and his team for their efforts to finally bring him home. Perhaps this is a sign that Putin sees the handwriting on the wall: Russia is losing the war in Ukraine, and the only way out is through a successful peace negotiation. I urge President Trump to use every tool at his disposal to host a trilateral meeting of Russia, Ukraine, and the United States to find a path forward that ends this war, preserves Ukraine's sovereignty, and brings lasting peace to its people.

RT @RepAdams: It’s time to invest in HBCU infrastructure and get the IGNITE HBCU Excellence Act across the finish line.

Even before serving in Congress, I took a leadership role in supporting our Historically Black Colleges and Universities, including helping Arkansas Baptist College improve and expand its campus during my time as a community banker. For more than a decade, I have worked with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to advance these vital institutions through policy, funding, and greater philanthropy. This week's announcement of a USDA grant for Shorter College marks another important step in that long-standing effort. Here in Arkansas, this work has produced $100 million in debt relief for the four HBCUs in central Arkansas, along with a significant increase in private philanthropy benefiting these campuses. As Co-Chairs of the Bipartisan Congressional HBCU Caucus, Congresswoman @RepAdams and I are committed to enacting the IGNITE Act during the lame-duck session. The bill would create new competitive grant programs and encourage private philanthropy to strengthen technology on HBCU campuses. @ShorterCollege @uapbinfo @ArkBaptist @PhilanderSmith

RT @FinancialCmte: The number of publicly traded U.S. companies has fallen from 8,800 in 1997 to fewer than 4,000 today. The INVEST Act helps reverse that trend by removing barriers that make it harder for growing companies to access public markets and raise capital. Read more here:

Had a wonderful visit with students at Central Baptist College Conway recently. They were a sharp bunch, asking thoughtful questions about the future of AI, financial innovation and digital assets, challenges facing our country, and what advice I had for entrepreneurs looking to start their first business. It is always encouraging to spend time with bright, engaged young Arkansans who are thinking seriously about their futures and the future of our country. #AR02 #education

RT @FinancialCmte: When there are not enough homes, families feel it in higher prices, fewer choices, and tougher competition. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act helps communities build more housing by cutting unnecessary barriers and updating federal policies that have made construction harder and more expensive. We should be increasing economic pressure on Russia, not easing up. We need to use every tool at our disposal, including fully implementing the Graham sanctions and my REPO Act, to squeeze Putin until he ends his illegal and barbaric war in Ukraine. I have requested a classified briefing on the rationale for this decision. via @WSJ

Great to visit with the Nabholz team and tour their new facility in Conway this morning alongside Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling and Senator Cotton. We are fortunate to have a premier, family-owned company like Nabholz right here in central Arkansas, not only creating good-paying jobs but also investing in workforce development and preparing the next generation of skilled workers.

Arkansas farmers are beginning to receive an estimated $1 billion in enhanced farm safety net benefits this month following improvements to agricultural programs included in the Working Families Tax Cuts, signed into law last year. I was proud to vote for this legislation, which not only supports our small businesses and hardworking Arkansans but also delivers for our farmers and ranchers. I will continue fighting to pass our first new comprehensive Farm Bill in eight years. #AR02 #Arkansas #Farmers #Ranchers #WorkingFamiliesTaxCuts

Was great to stop by Little Rock Regional Chamber's Metro Real Estate Update to discuss my 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act and our work in Congress to expand housing opportunities, cut unnecessary red tape, and make homeownership more attainable for hardworking Arkansas families. Really enjoyed talking with Arkansas Business' Mitch Bettis for this important conversation and hearing from Chamber Senior Vice President Jack Thomas about the future of 30 Crossing Park. #Arkansas #AR02 #HousingAffordability

Three years ago, Hamas terrorists launched a barbaric attack on Israel that killed more than 1,200 people and took more than 250 others hostage. Among those murdered and captured were dozens of American citizens. The brutal attack followed years of backing, intelligence sharing, and training by the number one state sponsor of terror in the Middle East and around the world: Iran. Today, on this solemn anniversary, we remember the victims of that horrific day and pray for their families. We also reaffirm our unwavering commitment to working with our friends and allies to eliminate the threat posed by Iran and its terrorist proxies so that an attack like October 7th never happens again.

RT @FinancialCmte: WATCH: Chairman @RepFrenchHill on the Committee’s work to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in public housing: “When I became Chairman of the Committee, we had seen public housing failures, mismanagement, and corruption right here in Little Rock. It became clear this was a nationwide problem. "Our most vulnerable citizens depend on the housing voucher program and public housing. We want them safe, sound, and well-managed. "Subcommittee Chairman @RepMeuser's report uncovers a number of major challenges, some of which will require legislative action. In the new Congress, I’ll be directing our Committee to take that action to improve both the voucher program and public housing in this nation.”

RT @FinancialCmte: WATCH: Chairman @RepFrenchHill on House Republicans’ work to lower costs for American families: “House Republicans have had affordability on their minds since President Trump came back to the White House. That’s why we cut taxes on hard-working families to give them more take-home pay and help counter the 20% price increase we saw under the Biden Administration. "We passed a once-in-a-generation housing bill that, over the next few months and years, will bring new ways to lower the cost of housing construction, make housing more available for more families, and encourage new construction techniques. It will help cities do a better job of lowering development and zoning costs so we can create more apartments and more single-family homes in communities across the country.”
