This afternoon, Col. @edthnaka held a consultation meeting with Mr. Martin Vali, an Estonian investor from EHT Engineering and DIIT Engineering investors to discuss a proposed investment in organic soil conditioners using locally available sapropel, an organic-rich lake sediment.
The engagement focused on coordinating with relevant MDAs to assess the project's feasibility, raw material availability and infrastructure needs.
This coordination is key to addressing investor concerns, providing clarity on regulatory requirements and supporting informed investment decisions while safeguarding investor interests.
The proposed technology seeks to improve soil fertility, combat soil degradation and erosion and provide more affordable soil conditioners for Ugandan farmers.
SHIPU remains committed to coordinating relevant stakeholders to ensure a secure thriving investment climate in Uganda.
