Barnet Incident | Update on the Counter Terrorism Policing investigation at 22:00 29.04.26

Our statement from Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor, Head of Counter Terrorism Policing, following the stabbings in #GoldersGreen today. Please report anything that doesn’t feel right & be alert to what is happening where you live. Info you share can make a difference.

Yesterday over 300 members of the emergency services and volunteers in Dorset came together to respond to a simulated terror attack on a passenger ferry. This scenario and others like it allow us to prepare for any situation. CTP supports training like this all year round.

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific events at #BondiBeach in #Australia, where innocent lives have been lost and many others have been injured. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families & all those affected by this appalling act of violence.

We understand this will cause significant concern for Jewish communities in the UK. CTPUK is reviewing protective security measures across the UK & working with local forces to provide reassurance. We are working closely with partners to ensure communities feel safe & supported.

We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any concerns to the police. If you see or hear something that doesn’t feel right, report it online and in confidence at In an emergency call 999.
