RT @r0ckstardev: I'm still not over the BTCPay Server hacks from August. And I don't think I ever will be. Nine years of coding, building community and creating value with others, only for a lot of that value to be stolen by thieves and AI hackers. When I look back, the only thing I feel good about is how fast our community reacted, and how many more people were saved from catastrophic losses. As a FOSS project, we responded better than governments, big corporations and most for-profit companies did. Everyone who contributed should feel proud of the part they played in the response. What remains is the realization that we are in a new era. The people who robbed us only managed it because they got access to frontier AI models faster than we did. AI has fundamentally changed software development. So our job now is to build better ways for humans to work with AI while it writes the code. Developers were already being tortured. The boss wants it yesterday. Sales sold it last week. Product changed it this morning. Everyone in the company wants it faster, and the end users want it perfect. Your backlog has a backlog. Now add attackers running frontier models that read your entire codebase overnight. It's literally impossible to keep up. If you're still coding by hand, you're bringing a keyboard to a drone fight. You will not make it. In this brave new world it's all about having AI running your development and defense, ensuring it's as close to frontier as possible. And that you are connected with other humans who share your morals. Those who will not only refuse to steal from others, but actively fight thiefs, sharing lessons they learned. A world where those who create value get to keep it. That's the only world I want to live in.

RT @OrangeSurfBTC: @bitkite @amazon @bot don't worry, in a few months you can probably have it design everything you need from first principles and get it made for you in a dark factory shipped to the door by drone

So what is the best alternative to @amazon? Will switch asap so my @bot and other agents can buy stuff for family and businesses. Now hit the point of annoyance to make a fairly drastic switch.

RT @sonjaphoto: @SamuraiShibaJP I live in WA State and just got back from Tennessee, it’s a special place! I absolutely loved being called “darling” and “sweetheart” in restaurants.

RT @SamuraiShibaJP: My coworker spent one year in Tennessee. He came back to Tokyo two months ago. He is not the same man. He says "y'all" in meetings. To our boss. He holds the door for the entire floor. Twelve people. Every morning. He asked the convenience store clerk how her day was going. She had to sit down. He calls every man "bud." Including the CEO. He refuses to describe anything under three hours away as "far." He waves at drivers who let him cross. One driver waved back and almost hit a pole. Last week, he told a junior employee, "I'm proud of you." She went to the restroom and cried for ten minutes. We thought it would wear off. It didn't. It's spreading. Three people in accounting now say "y'all." The junior employee holds the door. The convenience store clerk asks HIM how his day is going. Tennessee, I don't know what you did to him. Please do it to the rest of us.

RT @0xB10C: Not enough FOSS devs know about @amizi's @waye_dev (nonprofit that facilitates coaching for devs). Just finished my last call with @changeworklife. Still surprised 1) how helpful 1h of reflecting & planning every 3 weeks is and 2) this is available for FOSS Bitcoin devs

RT @MurrLincoln: this is a fearmongering way for banks to say agents are using browser use on their websites
    Madison Mills @MadisonMills22
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here:

RT @MartyBent: “It's like a norm to hand over all of your basic personal identification information just to, you know, read the news or check the weather.” @GeraldGlickman in May on age verification as the vector for online ID, and why Walmart doesn't ask who you are but its website does.

RT @MarathonFusion: Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.
