Another sign conference level governance is coming. If the PCSA doesn’t pass, conference level salary caps mirroring the PCSA’s terms have two issues: 1. Would need to amend the House settlement 2. If conferences use same cap it likely violates antitrust law

Whether you're looking for an overall "best" conference or looking for a better way to connect with your advisor community (be that platform, vendor, or other affiliations!), the reality is that choosing which conferences to go to is no small feat. I hope you'll find this year's 2026 top conferences list to be helpful as a guide in planning your own conference budget and schedule.... and check out discount codes for Nerd's Eye View readers within the article! #advicers

The Bridge is one of the first conferences I've been to where the total number of institutional finance people outweighs the digital asset natives. A very telling sign on where this industry is at...

The Big 12 and ACC have forced the hand of the SEC and Big 10, and they've responded by a schedule agreement and isolating the ACC/Big 12. Miami made the CFP Semi-Final last year, and now the Big 12 has three Top 10 teams with Houston and Arizona also ranked. Meanwhile NIL and the transfer portal have equalized the competition in the SEC/Big 10 so both of those conferences are hurting themselves while dominant brands still exist in the Big 12/ACC. This has angered those two conferences as their grip and control of all of college football power seems to be slipping a bit. This scheduling agreement will basically make it so that there is no data point between the Big 12/ACC and the Big 10/SEC. We fight on.

The most bullish Anthropic signal right now is how nearly EVERYONE'S slides reek of Claude Design. Was at 4 different conferences over the last 3 weeks and the amount of zero-leading section numbers, “eyebrows” (shudder), and commas in headlines is at epidemic levels.

NOAH BOLCH: We have a lot of young people who are heritage Americans and who are angry. Texas is the crown jewel of America and we're going to become the vanguard of the right wing for the rest of the country. Young men are taking action, showing up to church, attending conferences, and starting Young Republicans clubs. The rest of the country is going to follow suit.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 9 UNBIASED RATINGS A rating system has three components: POWER - How good is the team? RESUME - How good are their wins/losses? EXTRA - H2H & Conf championships You can combine these ideas however you like, but you should be consistent. If Notre Dame and Kentucky played tomorrow, the Irish would be a double digit favorite. They have a better power rating. But Kentucky's resume is fantastic, going 7-1 against tough opposition, while ND hasn't beaten anybody. They have a better resume. It's up to you how to trade those things off. Personally, if I had a vote, I would just submit Resume rankings every week, but what I have done here is try to weigh the two concepts in a way that approximates what I think pollsters try to do intuitively. The formula is (power rating + (1/resume)*4, switch adjacent teams for h2h). How do I come up with these numbers? POWER - Vegas knows power than anybody else, so I have a Vegas approximation algorithm I run that combines this week's lines, next week's lines, injuries, prior lines and win totals to extrapolate how good Vegas thinks teams are. This works VERY well for the NFL and decently for CFB. (Within conference is easy, but between conferences has some noise). If you think Vegas is wrong, please just go become extremely rich. I have chosen to use the power of how good teams currently are (i.e. inclusive of injuries) although elsewhere I also project playoff power with players returning, bayesian results, etc. RESUME - How likely is the #12 team to achieve the same record that you did or better against your schedule? NOTES: -Take LSU as an example. Vegas thinks they are the #4 team in the country. They have played Clemson, Ole Miss, ATM, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Auburn and outscored them by 113 points. However, that manifested as four blowout wins and 2 close losses, so their resume is not stellar. -Kentucky played Alabama, ATM, LSU, USCe, OU and Vandy and outscored them by 9 points, but went 5-1 in those games with two 1-point nailbiters, hence an unspectacular power rating, but a fantastic resume. -I have not yet included backwards looking injury adjustments. So Texas should be getting credit for beating OSU without Sayin, teams who beat Miss St should be getting more or less credit depending on whether Kamario played, etc. -Ratings within a conference are accurate within a point or so, and ratings between conferences probably also have about a point of wiggle room.

At #GirlsAgenda2026, the panel discussion on “Girls as Leaders, Not Just Beneficiaries” challenged organisations and policymakers to move beyond inviting girls to speak at conferences and create meaningful opportunities for them to influence decisions that affect their lives. From sharing lived experiences to shaping programme design, resource allocation and implementation, girls must be involved from the very beginning. As @GeorginaAsizu from IIEA emphasised, listening to girls is not enough, their recommendations must translate into action, with resources reaching young people and grassroots organisations who understand the realities of their communities. The discussion also highlighted the need to share decision-making power, build supportive systems, recognise girls as leaders and innovators, and hold organisations accountable for their commitments. Girls are experts in their own lived realities so their participation must go beyond the panel to the planning table, the budget and the decisions that shape their futures. #MenstrualJusticeForAll

One of my clients is a general partner at a big VC firm whose picks got him promoted to co-head of venture, and whose voice still left a massive hole every time he had to speak off the cuff. Here's how I took him from being scared to speak on the spot to nominating himself for network TV, dominating huge conferences, and speaking on podcasts. @SpencerApplebau : "The biggest gap I had in my career progression a year ago was, I was promoted to co-head of venture… I think for my sourcing and picking ability, a part of venture is getting out there and just being a public presence and telling the world what your thesis is and why you believe what you believe. Without that, I think you have a massive hole as a venture investor." When he came to me, he had no confidence in his ability to do public speaking. That's the gap I close. I help the sound of your voice match the expertise in your head, so the market can actually hear the thesis. He had the points. What he needed was to get them out of his head and into a room that isn't only technical people. "I feel like you've given me all of the tools going into certain appearances, whether it's a podcast or an interview or a sit-down with a reporter. You know, I have a lot of points in my head, but you've helped me actually convey them to other people in the most efficient way possible, through my voice, through articulating certain points in a manner that is digestible to a broader audience, other than the super technical people that I usually talk with." "When you're not confident, you don't project the way that you want to project. And so even if you're making a really great point on something that's extremely technical, if you don't feel like you have the confidence to actually explain that technical concept to someone else, it will not come across, and it'll actually just sound like rambling." He came for public speaking. He stayed because we built the habits the seat required. "You've basically become an executive coach… I needed to step up into a leadership role and create a lot of habits, both super simple ones, but also even more leadership-style ones. You helped me figure out what are those habits that I need to build, and then actually held me accountable on executing them." Where he is now: "When I came to you originally, I had no confidence in my ability to do public speaking. I'm now signed up for three panels in one day in Singapore. I'm getting interviewed by a reporter at a major financial publication the day before that. And I think I got like four other presentations just in the next six weeks." His partner watched a few of his recent podcasts and "said it was clear that my confidence and tone in public speaking is markedly different than it was nine or even six months ago." "And so I feel like anytime I have a public speaking opportunity that's presented to me by our internal comms team, I jump at it. Actually, I even nominated myself to go on TV soon. So hopefully, I'll actually be on CNBC in the next couple of weeks." From hiding behind the picks to jumping at the mic. That's the visibility the seat required. Now he has it. "And so for me to be able to do a lot more public speaking and even get more comfortable writing publicly and reaching out to people, it's made a massive difference in my ability as a VC." Your voice tells the world who you are. When you speak, you lead.
