🚨 $SPY GEX MAP — 11/5 (0DTE) | via @ITMatrixHQ
Spot: 767.67 ⚖️ sitting right ON the flip
🧲 770 — THE MAGNET
86,858. Biggest wall on the board by a mile.
If we trade up, this is where it sticks.
🟣 771 → 775 — ceiling stack
33,668 / 2,589 / 24,140 / 20,778 / 27,808
Positive gamma = dealers SELL rips.
Grind higher, not rip higher.
⚠️ 767.67 — YOU ARE HERE
Dead on the line. Above it dealers cushion.
Below it they stop cushioning.
🔻 BELOW = A DIFFERENT MARKET
766 ──── -9,703
765 ──── -30,910 🚪 the gate
764 ──── -71,153 ⛳ TRAPDOOR
760 ──── -28,814 💨 air pocket
📖 PLAIN ENGLISH
🟢 Above 768 → dealers buy dips and sell rips. Chop toward 770, then pin.
🔴 Below 767 → dealers flip to selling INTO weakness. 765 is the gate. 764 is where it gets fast.
Net GEX +52,118 ✅ positive overall — but spot is on the knife's edge.
That's not a trend-day setup. That's a decision point.
⏰ Every level above expires at the close.
📊 Jobs report tomorrow, 8:30 AM
Structure, not advice ⚠️
David Bowie scored his second UK No. 1 album 53 years ago today, when Pin Ups went straight to the top of the chart on November 3, 1973. It stayed there for five weeks, matching Aladdin Sane's run earlier that year.
Released on October 19, only six months after Aladdin Sane, it was an album of covers of the bands David used to watch at London's Marquee between 1964 and 1967: the Pretty Things, Them, the Yardbirds, Pink Floyd, the Kinks, the Who and more.
Advance orders reached 150,000, and at one point six Bowie albums were on the UK chart at the same time.
⚡ Pin Ups gave David a No. 3 UK hit with "Sorrow." What's your favorite track? ⚡

Most 0DTE traders will never learn this about the gamma expiry stack.
Today, 16.0% of all dealer gamma on $SPY and SPX expires before the close.
The video shows how much dealer gamma rolls off on each date.
Same index. Different dates. Different pull.
The expiry stack isn't a calendar. It isn't trivia. It's a map of when dealer hedging disappears.
Here's the full breakdown 👇
How the expiry stack works:
→ Gamma is how fast an option speeds up on each 1-point move.
→ Dealers are the big firms on the other side of your trade, and they hedge that gamma.
→ A strike is the price an option is built around.
→ When lots of gamma expires today, dealers hedge hard near big strikes, so price pins.
Where the gamma sits this week:
→ About 16 of every 100 units of dealer gamma expire today.
16.0% + 4.5% = 20.4% of all tracked dealer gamma expires in the next 2 sessions
→ Tomorrow (Nov 03) holds only 4.5%, so the pin gets weaker.
→ Monthly OPEX, the big monthly expiration on Nov 20, holds 35.8%.
→ Dealer selling slows rallies near the ceiling, and dealer buying cushions dips near the floor.
What to do tomorrow morning:
1. Expect a looser pin, since only 4.5% of dealer gamma expires Nov 03.
2. Watch the SPX halfway lines at 7,530 and 7,630 for stalls.
3. Treat 7,481 and 7,679 as the outer edges of the 99.2 point priced move.
The more gamma that expires today, the harder price sticks.
I put the dealer gamma walls, flip-line and confluence playbook into a playbook.

$SPY is boxed in 📦
🟢 740 call wall
🔴 739 put wall
Dealers are hedging both sides, so price keeps snapping back into a 1-point box.
But net GEX is −$1.58B. This is a pin inside negative gamma, so the walls are speed bumps, not guarantees.
Into the close:
• Box holds → chop + decay, wait
• Over 740 → 744.30 / 745
• Lose 739 → 736, then 735 magnet
Inside the box, wait. Outside the box, follow.

MY WEEKLY REVIEW🩸
Value migrated from last week's 7720 $SPX POC to a new lower distribution around 7402 during the week.
The week closed below every Oct reference for the 4th week out of balance, 24 pts above the new November low, with the 7490 to 7550 single prints between the 2 distributions.
My Sunday post said that the week would leave last Friday's close in either direction with the downside paid more, that the early dampening came from the daily put sellers and would expire with them, that the weekly short gamma around 7600 would surface on Thu, that the hole under 7510 to 7530 had no breaker from Thu on, and that a vol spike would turn the lower shelf into a self reinforcing selloff exposing 7470, then 7400 to 7380 and ultimately 7320.
The stance was slightly bearish with the vomma asymmetry pointing down and 35.77% on a settlement below 7502
And thats exactly what happened, in order and on time.
Monday and Tuesday held above the Oct low inside the breaker, and Wednesday released on the election result as my post foreshadowed.
Then on Thursday the weekly short gamma surfaced from the first bar, $VIX 17 to 28s, 7470 before 11am, 7380 after lunch, cash low 7350 and the $ES at 7322 that evening, and the whole ladder down to the 7320 target traded within the week.
The settlement 7374.85 landed inside my coded paid zone, 3 pts from the 7378 magnet the Sunday post had named for Thursday's decay flow, and inside my (skew adjusted) downside vomma zone 7364 to 7438, while the week's high stopped inside the point beta upside zone.
All 4 weekly stakes paid.
The daily posts were right on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in direction and shape.
The election day pin above the centroid, the gap acceptance and the 7685 magnet on Wednesday, the pop first and the crash low holding on Friday with the close inside the 7365 to 7376 afternoon magnet.
Monday's hold above 7598 failed by the close. Tuesday was drifting up and Thursday's own map under the flip did its job, the suspension fired at 10am at its earliest moment, every reference below the flip printed, and nothing below the flip was a fade.
The left tail was mapped, even tho it was just bigger than expected...
So the accuracy of the weekly post was 74.12% on its claims and the week overall 76.24%
Nice performance on a left-tailish week😎
Most 0DTE traders will never learn this about where gamma expires.
At 14:35 ET only 7.7% of dealer gamma on $SPY expires today, while 37.1% waits for monthly expiration on Nov 20. The pin you are trading into this close is holding less than a tenth of the book.
They see "price drifting sideways into the afternoon, so it must be pinned."
A tiny group of vol desks sees how much hedging actually dies at 16:00, and how much keeps working after it.
Dealers are the market makers who sell you options. They hedge delta, the share-equivalent exposure an option carries, so they stay flat. Gamma is how fast that delta changes as price moves. When a big share of gamma expires today, dealers trade heavily around today's strikes, and price sticks to them. When only 7.7% expires, today's strikes barely pull. The book that matters runs on Tuesday's, Thursday's and November's expiries. The average retail trader reads a quiet afternoon as a pin. A desk reads it as a small, fading magnet sitting inside a bigger, unstable book.
Same tape. Same drift. Completely opposite conclusion.
The difference isn't the candles. It isn't the strike count. It's which date the gamma is stamped with.
Here's the stack, date by date →
THE EXPIRY STACK:
→ Nov 03 (today): 7.7%. That's not a pin. That's a thin layer of hedging that disappears at the bell.
→ Nov 04 (tomorrow): 10.6%, the largest share of the near week. Add today and 18.4% of all tracked dealer gamma rolls off in two sessions.
→ Nov 06 (Thursday): 11.8%, while Nov 05 holds only 0.9%. That's not a random calendar. That's a Wednesday air pocket between two heavier dates.
→ Nov 20 (monthly expiration): 37.1%. That's not background noise. That's the anchor of the whole book.
WHAT THE AFTERNOON RUNOFF DOES:
→ 14:35 ET: net GEX, the total dealer gamma estimated from SPY open interest (contracts still open), reads -1.45B. That figure is negative, so dealers sell weakness and buy strength. That's not support. That's fuel.
→ SPX equivalent 7,574.1 sits 73.9 points below the flip line at 7,648.1. The flip line is where dealer gamma turns positive. Below it, hedging stretches moves.
→ The at-the-money straddle, a call plus a put at the same strike, costs 17.4 SPX points, about $1,735, only 0.18x the 97.9-point expected move. That's not cheap insurance. That's the market pricing little left to move today.
→ 16:00: the 7.7% is gone. What remains is still negative gamma, now weighted toward later dates.
WHAT CHANGES TOMORROW MORNING:
→ At the open, the 10.6% Nov 04 slice becomes the new 0DTE. Today's magnet was 7.7%, so tomorrow's same-day strikes carry more weight.
→ Put wall SPX 7,423 (SPY 740), the strike with the most dealer put exposure, sits 69.0 points below the lower half shelf at 7,492.5. Dealer buying there tends to cushion dips.
→ Call wall SPX 8,025 (SPY 800) sits 435.0 points above the upper shelf at 7,590.3. That's not a ceiling for this week. That's out of reach.
→ Before 11:30 AM, 54.3 of the 97.9 points tend to print.
Now the part retail never computes.
7.7% + 10.6% = 18.4% of dealer gamma expiring in two sessions
7,541.40 x 0.2060 = 1,553.53
1,553.53 / 15.87 = 97.9 points of expected move (15.87 is the square root of 252 trading days)
97.9 x 0.5 = 48.9 points
97.9 x 2.236 = 218.9 points for the week
97.9 x 0.555 = 54.3 points before 11:30 AM
→ Daily range: 7,443.5 to 7,639.3
→ Half shelves: 7,492.5 and 7,590.3
→ Weekly corridor: 7,322.5 to 7,760.3
→ Flip line 7,648.1 sits just above the top of today's range
The rule: a pin WITH a large same-day gamma share and spot above the flip line is a real magnet. A pin without them is the trap that sells you a quiet afternoon right before negative gamma stretches the open through your strike.
The trader fading today's drift is leaning on 7.7% of the book while 73.9 points below the flip. Tomorrow 10.6% takes over, still in negative gamma.
The chart shows you where price sat.
The stack shows you how long it has to stay there.
Map the expiry shares, the flip line and the half shelves before every session.
If SPX opens below 7,492.5 tomorrow morning, is your plan to buy the dip or step aside until the 7,423 put wall?
