BTW I just love the fact that this modern recreation of a 1968 minicomputer which cost $12,800 (about $100,000 today) runs even faster and better on a Raspberry Pi ($20). The DEC PDP-8 was revolutionary. #retrocomputer #PiDP8 #DEC

Printing and assembly done! Time for some glamour shots of the #retrocomputer Callisto II. It took about six days on an Ender 3. Here are the plans (not by me): Currently has a Pi inside running CP/M but there is space for my #RC2014 collection.

This calculator emulates a Sinclair Calculator from 1974: its crazy genius. To find the square root you take the log, divide by two and take the anti log. And it’s all in RPN. I love it. The original had all the #Sinclair hallmarks. #retrocomputer #calculator

I’ve gotten my hands on a KIM-1 to play with. The KIM-1 is THE 6602-based SBC - this one from 1977. I can compare my emulator with it to see how it rates. #retrocomputer

If you like the look of that CDC6500 computer, with it’s transistor based logic, you can actually log into it and run software on it. Open terminal on your Mac or CMD on your PC, and enter ssh menu@tty.livingcomputers.org Isn’t that amazing? #retrocomputer #retrocomputing

A great essay on 50 years of Pascal, written by creator Niklaus Wirth. After BASIC, #Pascal was the first "real" programming languages for many. Did you learn it? On what platform? (Team #retrocomputer fan swears by Turbo Pascal on CP/M) #FlashbackFriday

I’ve started building a virtual #Altair8800 #retrocomputer in Unity. The cool part is that it’s actually running real Z80 code, and that’s what’s making the LEDs blink. Still have plenty to do, including making the switches work. Yes, it’s the start of a virtual computer museum.
