@DCMS @TfL Does anyone know how long the accessible queue is, trying to judge if it’s practical for my mum

@Cfm20002 @DCMS @TfL Joined #accessiblequeue with 10-11am wristband. Got in queue at Parliament Sq quickly about 11am, progress stalled inexplicably for an hour. Entered hall at 2pm. Staff were great & brought out chairs but if walking & standing are very difficult a wheelchair would be advisable.

In the #accessiblequeue and the way this is being handled is absolutely disgraceful. We're being told to come back tomorrow to queue for wristbands, but if we go and come back whats to say we'll even get a wristband if we come back tomorrow? [1/3]

@happyjenloves In any case I'm not sure why you've responded to my tweet with this. I didn't shut the queue. I didn't deny that it's impossible for some people. I'm sharing info on *my* experience as a disabled person in queue + govt advice so others can make informed decisions.

Today I had the honour of spending an hour at Westminster Hall seeing the Queen lie in state ahead of tomorrow’s funeral. It was a moment I will never forget. A few words via @HarpersBazaarUS:

@scobie @harpersbazaarus Again another reporter who jumps the q and not only that gets a whole hour. With absolutely no mention of the #accessiblequeue as has been the case from the media throughout the lying-in-state.I didn’t get to go and pay my respects as the q was shut 36hrs early I’m devastated

@DCMS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update with sufficient info on the #accessiblequeue for HM's #lyinginstate. Are you protecting the slots from being taken advantage of by able bodied because you're scared to ask about hidden disabilities? Do we bring a blue badge? If its on our car?

Was the #AccessibleQueue accessible? No & this is why - 1. Lack of info The main Q had constant updates & good info. Disabled folk need to plan journeys carefully but mostly had to find info from twitter searching; there wasnt even an official hashtag

@rooibus Members of my family traveled all the way to London to join the #accessiblequeue only to find the wait was 6 hours just to get a wrist band.

#TheQueue Disabled & vulnerable people are being treated horribly. We were told we could come and get wristbands 24hrs a day, now we are all being told to go home and come back noon tomorrow to try our luck again. Why are disabled people always treated as second-class citizens?

After queuing for about 5 hours to get #accessiblequeue tickets, we got there.. got 4-5am ! So, we had to book into a hotel, get up at 3 am and walk to #VictoriaTowerGardens From there on it was smooth sailing, even thru security. Got into WH about 4.15am. We’re exhausted….

Ok let’s give this a go. Having watched all the coverage and knowing what a moment in history this is, I’ve managed to convince my sister to join me and we’re on our way to the #AccessibleQueue to pay our respects to the Queen. Wish us luck (a thread, I’m sure)
