My best friend (he’s Saudi) and I have proper fights over who pays for dinner. His logic is that I’m a guest in the kingdom and therefore he can’t let his guest pay. I don’t agree with this logic. Today I gave my credit card to the wait staff when we went for lunch so they could charge me, but he found out and he put the steak knife to his chest 😂 saying that if I stab his heart ten times it will hurt less than if I don’t let him pay for me 😆. Disruptions in the Strait and destruction of oil/gas infrastructure has led to a global energy shortage. Then, as expected, the war spread between Saudi and the Houthis. That led to more disruptions in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait. Since 1/3 of the world’s fertilizer travels through Hormuz, we’re seeing the beginning phases of global food crisis. In fact, JP Morgan put out analysis predicting a full blown global food crisis in Q1 2027. But hey, at least Israel got its war. I guess it’s “antisemitic” to state the obvious. So, don’t insult our intelligence while we’re all paying out the ass for everything, On top of that, WE are forced to bankroll Israel’s wars and give them yearly aid to boot. We’re sick of it.
