OpenAI #devday is on right now in San Francisco.
Keynote is free to watch, the rest gets posted after:
I am an ML engineer building in AI and I want to know who else is here. What are you building this month?
Excited to kickoff our DevDay Exchange in France, and you all are building with AI!! 🇫🇷
> weekly active Codex users are up more than 14x since the start of 2026
> ChatGPT Business seats are up nearly 70% over the past year
> work users tripled since launch
and France is now top 10 globally for active OpenAI API developers.
oh and congrats to the codex micro winners too ;)
let’s go!! 🚀
Just arrived at @OpenAI#DevDay, and I’m predicting proactive intelligence will steal the show.
We’ve gone from statistics to machine learning to intelligence.
Now the next step is AI that doesn’t just respond, but anticipates.
But, the big question: how do we make that happen in a way that is genuinely useful and trustworthy?
Excited to learn from the builders here today. Vibes are awesome.
OpenAI will give you ChatGPT Pro for free.
They just opened applications for Codex Ambassadors:
• Free Pro subscription
• Codex + API credits
• Direct line to the OpenAI team
• Funding for your events (food, prizes, credits)
• Possible invites to DevDay
• Exclusive swag
Two paths:
• Event path: host Codex meetups and hackathons
• Content path: build with Codex and share it
All you need: 1 useful event or post a month.
Applications close Nov 1.
hello it's me, oathbound orin. 1v1 community duels for the next 3 hours, #TeamLexa wearers first up, post for a FIGHT!!
7-0 and will stay added for future #devthursdays
Sorry folks, have to bail early to grab some Imodium before the convenience store closes 😳😰. Thanks for coming to this #devday (have we found the name yet?). And sorry for the mid match interruptions #badtofu
CRAZY: OpenAI’s agent just gave EVERYONE in the #DevDay audience $500 in credits! I think that is $500,000 total.
WATCH this video for the LIVE audience reaction 🎉🎉🎉
okayy after almost a week a few raw thoughts on the OpenAI DevDay Hackathon I did last Saturday here in Berlin with 250 people on location
wow i got a lot of positive feedback that i did not expect
-+2 days around the event I was under a pretty high burden of pressure. so many things needed to be organised and had to make sure all the little details come together. as the organiser I got a million different complaints about even the smallest things.
so at first it felt overwhelmingly like a lot of things went wrong. but then the feedback poured in. i mean, yea, people where honest with me that some stuff (like the wifi) did not go well enough. but looking back at the feedback in my emails and as well as in person, I am very happy that so many people actually did enjoy it in the end.
next time I will really make sure we have more sharable food too. i fucked up a bit on the food ordering and we had 1:1 bowls for people. which is pretty bad for an event of this size. i had no idea how many people exactly would show up. so that lead to us not having food for everyone (bc a lot more people showed up duhh)
another thing:
the sacred source of a successful hackathon is internet
i should've made sure we at least had 1 backup solution like LTE routers or starlink. I completely underestimated how fragile providing internet can be. even at an experienced event location
i shouldn't have put all the organisation load on myself. e.g.: the codex credits went out a bit delayed to people bc I was the person to send them which was inconveniently running around the event location trying to put out little fires and answering 1 question per minute haha
most important:
I am soooo grateful for having a team at the event omg. this event would've been a nightmare for me if not for the 10+ people holding it together, of which a bunch of them are other experienced OpenAI Codex Ambassadors.
ty to all who came and I promise, the next event will be even sicker and have a higher uptime than the last haha
#DevDay energy is still here!

Woo hoo! OpenAI highlights HubSpot partnership on main stage at #DevDay.
Today was a special day for me.
Was so cool to see @sama from @OpenAI feature @HubSpot from the main keynote stage at their Dev Day event.
HubSpot and OpenAI are the two most impactful companies in my life. HubSpot, for obvious reasons and OpenAI for less obvious ones.
My relationship with Sam and OpenAI goes back a bit:
1) Got access to the GPT-2 API so had my "moment of magic" well before ChatGPT launched.
2) Have been using OpenAI's APIs and platform to build apps and agents for years. They *really* understand developers and have an amazing dev experience.
3) Sold the chat .com domain name to them and as a result was able to become an investor in the company.
4) They're the primary AI platform that HubSpot partners with and builds with -- as highlighted today.
My congrats to the entire OpenAI team for today's event. I know how much work goes into putting together an event like this. And it was clear from the vibes how much you folks *care*.
Cheers.
Picked up a #DevDay@modretro@Nintendo#Gameboy (via @eBay).
Built directly from @OpenAI#Codex ✅
CONFIRMED! - @OpenAI Cartridge works* on OG #GB & #GBC ✅
#Astra was great at deploying as well as explaining the nuances and history behind the many editions of GameBoy.
* The Original 1989 4 tone screen suffered mainly since it was afterthought (and a surprise) that was able to run the cartridge. Quality could be greatly improved through better contrast in the design.
Got the invite ⚡
