e.youngmin@ismine91One photo. 230,400 particles. Five landmarks. I've been building Particle Morph with @reactnative + TypeGPU + WebGPU, turning a photo into particles that morph into landmarks. Which landmark next? @expo @swmansion @wcandillon #ReactNative #WebGPU #TypeGPU014158
Physics engine update 📢 I added a thing that I wanted to add for a long time, Gyroscope tilt 🎥👇 I'm thinking of using the engine to make a small 2D game next, what should I do ? #TypeGPU #ReactNative #Physics #BuildInPublic @swmansion @wcandillon @iwoplaza @reczko_konrad0211659
🪐 t r a n s c e n d 🪐 I am in the middle of implementing instanced particles for my game engine, and this is the result so far 😵💫 #webgpu #typegpu #javascript105292

@PaulLouisNech@PaulLouisNech got me to do some Live Coding after my @RenderATL talk, I need to do this more often! Running TypeScript on the GPU opens up so many possibilities, faster iteration being one of them! 🎨 #typegpu #webgpu11132.3K
@PaulLouisNech@PaulLouisNech @RenderATL Thanks for showing me Strudel, it’s a must for me to try out! 🎶10224
Paul-Louis Nech 🌇@PaulLouisNech@iwoplaza@iwoplaza @RenderATL My pleasure dear! And let's continue the conv on #TypeGPU, I wonder if it could be useful to accelerate @_ojack_ 's amazing Hydra.js or other livecoding ecosystem tooling ✨00238
I hate to say this but... LLMs seem to be quite decent at writing TypeGPU shaders. Used @thdxr's opencode to write a few SDF functions, then told it to create a simple ray marched scene. Most notably, this is NOT a Three.js scene! It's a custom fragment shader that sends rays into an "imaginary" space, written fully in TypeScript 🚀 Please correct me on this, but I think it was able to get it right on first try because: - The shader itself is just TypeScript, so the LSP was able to give feedback to the model along the way - The I/O bridge between the CPU and the GPU is end-to-end type safe, and there is no need to maintain both sides of the app separately (less room for runtime errors) Expect more updates on this 👀30171.2K

@reczko_konrad@reczko_konrad gave me a tip on how to make the volumetrics smoother. "Just jitter along the ray when sampling!" he said, and it works wonders ✨ Just uploaded a new build on try it out yourself! #gamedev #webgpu #typegpu01161.8K
After some cleanup, it does look a bit more like caustics in a swimming pool 🥽💦 #typegpu #webgpu #shaderIwo Plaza | TypeGPU @iwoplaza@PaulLouisNech got me to do some Live Coding after my @RenderATL talk, I need to do this more often! DAY 3 of #jamsepticeye, we improved the atmosphere and got the core gameplay down. Now it's time to think of interesting puzzles and progression, as well as how to tell the story efficiently ✍️ #typegpu #webgpu #gamedev05205.8K

Definitely a XorDev classic 👏👏 Reimplementing it in TypeScript went smoother than last time. Love playing with the parameters on this one 🫨 Code & Preview (WebGPU required): #webgpu #typegpu #shadersXor @XorDev"Centrifuge 2" vec3 p,P;for(float z,d,i;i++<5e1;z+=d,o+=(1.2-cos(p.z/vec4(5,1e8,3,0)))/d)p=z*normalize(FC.rgb*2.-r.xyy),P=vec3(atan(p.y-=7.,p.x)/.1+t,p.z*.2-5.*t,length(p.xy)-11.),d=length(vec4(P.z,cos(P+cos(P/.2))-1.))*.5-.1;o=tanh(o/2e2);30301.8K
