Serving in this administration has been the privilege of a lifetime. From helping to stand up the most successful presidential transition in history alongside @howardlutnick and @EDSecMcMahon, to rebuilding our defense industrial base as PTDO Deputy Under Secretary for R&E and then Acting Director of OSC at @DeptofWar, to driving forward President Trump’s vision to make the United States the “crypto capital of the world” as Executive Director of the @WhiteHouse Crypto Council, I consider myself to have been the luckiest guy in the world over these past two years. First and foremost, I want to thank @POTUS for the opportunity to serve the American people again in your second term. Your clear-eyed vision to ensure the United States remains the undisputed global superpower at this time of unprecedented technological change and geopolitical strife is critical to our nation’s future prosperity. Second, I want to thank @DavidSacks for your visionary leadership and mentorship. I am so grateful to have been able to work with you and learn from you over the past year. Thank you also to @USWREMichael, James Mazol, @HarryYJung, Nick Elliot, Tyler Williams, @lukejpettit, Jonathan Hurowitz, Andrew Rittenhouse, Michael Friedman, @atitus7, @passalacqua_mj, @willscharf, @JamesCBraid, @MayMailman, Steve Levine, Patrick Butler, Zach Carstens, and countless others across the administration for being the best colleagues anyone could ask for. It was an honor to serve alongside you. Lastly, thank you to @SECPaulSAtkins and @ChairmanSelig, @SecScottBessent, @USComptroller Gould, @SenatorTimScott, @SenLummis, @SenatorHagerty, @berniemoreno, @JohnBoozman, @SenThomTillis, @RepFrenchHill, and @RepBryanSteil for your partnership in advancing crypto policy over the past year with the passage of the GENIUS Act and our work to advance the CLARITY Act. With regulators and elected officials like you, I rest easy knowing the future of digital asset innovation in America is bright. Regarding next steps, I’ll have to more to share soon. For now, I’ll say this: I am extremely bullish on America as we embark upon a new golden age of technological advancement across multiple frontiers. I’m grateful to have done my part to unleash American innovation while in government, and I look forward to advancing that same mission in the private sector! 🇺🇸

RT @USComptroller: At the @USOCC, we have worked diligently and expeditiously to deliver the GENIUS Act final rule ahead of schedule to support President Trump's vision and @SecScottBessent's leadership to grow the economy and lead the global digital currency revolution. Today marks the birth of a new industry having a federal framework for payment stablecoins in the digital age. It also brings us back to our original mission when the OCC was charged with the responsibility for organizing and administering a system of nationally chartered banks and a uniform national currency.

RT @SECPaulSAtkins: Patrick's unwavering leadership was instrumental in advancing President Trump’s vision for American dominance in crypto. It was a pleasure to work with him. At the @SECGov, we will continue to work toward establishing a common-sense and comprehensive crypto market structure in the U.S., one that accomplishes the President’s goals and builds on Patrick’s tremendous work.

RT @SenatorHagerty: Patrick has been a tremendous asset in advancing @POTUS’s agenda. From his service at @DeptofWar strengthening America’s defense industrial base to his efforts at the White House championing digital assets, Patrick has proven himself to be a talented convener and a man of action. I hope Patrick remains engaged in these critical issues and continues to provide valuable thought leadership from his next role.

RT @SECPaulSAtkins: Since the advent of Bitcoin in 2008, the crypto asset market has grown from a niche curiosity into a multi-trillion-dollar asset class to which investors actively seek exposure. Unfortunately, our rules and regulations have not kept pace. To that end, today’s proposal would provide a clear regulatory framework for the custody of crypto assets, giving investment advisers and funds a compliant pathway where none existed before—and replacing the grey of uncertainty created by custody rules crafted for a bygone era.
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission @SECGov
TODAY 🚨: The Commission proposed new rules and amendments to provide a tailored framework for the custody of crypto assets for registered investment advisers and regulated funds, i.e. registered investment companies and business development companies.

A big thank you to @SummerMersinger for her years of service advancing crypto policy and financial innovation, first at the CFTC, then leading @BlockchainAssn. It's been a pleasure working with Summer these past two years. We would not have achieved all that we did without her leadership and partnership.

I've spent the past year and a half leading the Blockchain Association through one of the most consequential periods in its history. I'm incredibly proud of what our team accomplished together, especially in navigating a challenging and rapidly evolving environment for the industry. Together, we saw the GENIUS Act become law, held more than 300 Congressional and agency meetings, and, for the first time, the industry will have clear rules of the road thanks to the work we’ve done with the SEC, CFTC, and this Administration. Those achievements belong to an extraordinary team, and I remain deeply grateful for their talent, commitment, and trust. I'm proud of the work we did together, and I'll be sharing more about what's next for me in the near future.

RT @SECPaulSAtkins: For too long, regulatory uncertainty has prevented responsible, yet critical innovation from taking root in the United States. It has been a priority of my chairmanship to reverse this trend. Though temporary, the Innovation Exemption is a principled, structured grant of relief designed to resolve genuine legal uncertainty, while providing investor protections and upholding market integrity standards. Through this order and a number of ongoing initiatives, we will ensure that America remains the world’s premier destination to build the next generation of financial infrastructure.

There’s no sense in sugarcoating it: today’s vote was a major disappointment—and, I believe, a failure of American leadership. The full cost of today’s result may not be known for years to come, but this much is clear: it increases the risk that the standards that global financial markets adhere to in the future will be those of Brussels or Beijing, rather than Washington and New York. I want to thank @POTUS for the opportunity to work on this important legislation and for the remarkable concessions he was willing to make to give this bill a chance; @DavidSacks for his wise leadership on not only crypto but all frontier tech policy; and all the Senators and their staffs who devoted countless hours to working on this bill, chief among them @SenLummis who deserved much better than this. Lastly, I also want to thank my colleagues across the administration at Treasury, SEC, and the CFTC. Their partnership helped us find creative solutions to challenging issues throughout this process, and their patience made it possible for us to see it all the way through to a vote. On that last point: @SECPaulSAtkins and @ChairmanSelig, you’re up!

If the DC banking lobby were serious about their deposit flight argument, they would be aggressively whipping Senators, both Republican and Democrat, to get on the bill and then push for changes after. Because if this bill fails, they get none of the protections they claim to desperately need. They haven’t done that. Draw your own conclusions.
