Former NBA Star John Wall Still Texts His Late Mother Every Morning And Night And Keeps Her Phone Number Active By Paying Her Bill Since Her Passing In 2019.
Former NBA star John Wall revealed that he still texts his late mother, Frances Pulley, every morning and night and has continued paying her phone bill to keep her number active since she died in December 2019 at age 58 following a battle with breast cancer. In an interview highlighted by Heavy on October 27, Wall explained that he intends to keep her number for the rest of his life, finding comfort in sending messages and knowing nobody else will receive them. “It helps me. I know she can’t respond,” he shared. Wall also said he spends time looking through pictures and reflecting on their memories together. His phone’s display features a photo of him hugging his mother after a win in his first game against the Philadelphia 76ers, an image he also keeps as his profile picture—a lasting reminder of their bond nearly seven years after her passing. ❤️🕊️
Jacob Allen Morley, 28, remained on the run as of October 27 after escaping Tennessee’s Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville late October 25—but authorities have now recovered the truck he allegedly stole in southern Illinois. Prison staff discovered Morley missing around 11:30 p.m., triggering an emergency count and search; surveillance footage showed him breaching the perimeter fence in his prison uniform, although officials have not explained exactly how he got through. Morley is serving a life sentence for murdering his co-worker, Cody Birchfield, in 2022, along with convictions for aggravated burglary, evidence tampering, evading arrest and vandalism. Birchfield’s body was discovered in a box beneath Morley’s home weeks after he disappeared, and Morley previously led officers on a chase ending in North Carolina. Authorities say Morley stole a white 2008 Ford F-350 belonging to Lindamood Planting Company around 1 a.m. October 26; the truck had Tennessee plate 138BBQV, company markings and an air compressor in its bed. Cameras recorded it passing the Hornbeak Fire Department around 1:18 a.m., and it was found abandoned October 27 behind a shopping center in Marion, Illinois, approximately 120 miles north of the prison. Local, state and federal agencies are searching for Morley, who is on Tennessee’s Most Wanted list, with a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to his arrest. He is described as 5-foot-11, approximately 240 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Authorities consider him dangerous, urge residents to check security cameras

AT&T’s $177 million settlement over two data breaches disclosed in 2024 received final court approval on October 2, 2026, paving the way for payments to eligible customers who filed claims by December 18, 2025. The settlement allocates $149 million to the March incident, which exposed personal information including Social Security numbers and account details, and $28 million to the July incident involving call and text records. Eligible claimants can receive up to $5,000 for documented losses linked to the March breach or up to $2,500 for the July breach—not an automatic $5,000 check for everyone.
