RT @fellowshiptrust: WEBSITES WEBSITES WEBSITES (WWW!) Now on view at 📍 39 Great Jones St, NY @artxcode_io @rhizome Piece → "Humans Not Invited" (2019) by @Damjanski 🔗 This artwork upends the traditional hierarchy of the internet by excluding human users and welcoming only artificial agents. Operating as a "reverse CAPTCHA," the web-based installation forces visitors to complete a visual recognition test specifically calibrated to fail human perception while remaining legible to automated scripts.

RT @fellowshiptrust: ⭑ Anarchy Colloquially referred to as the ‘Wild West’ era of the internet, the 1990s and early 2000s were known to be a period of productive creative output and experimentation. The origins of were conceived in the 90s, and, inheriting the DIY and experimental ethos of the internet at this time, the artists that were a part of the movement were anti-institutional in nature. Artists used websites for unruly experiments, stolen material, political provocation and irreverent humour. Anarchy carries that spirit across generations of artists. Here, software is deliberately misused, familiar interfaces turn against their users and the internet’s stranger corners become artistic material. Some works confront authority directly; others simply refuse to behave. What connects them is a willingness to treat the web as something open to interference, a place whose rules anyone can rewrite. RT @fellowshiptrust: Artists You Should Know → .✦ ݁˖ @Damjanski .✦ ݁˖ Damjanski is an artist living in a browser. Born in Sarajevo, raised in Hamburg and based in New York, he works with themes of power, poetry and participation, exploring the concept of apps as artworks and the illogical connections buried in everyday digital life. His pieces take the form of websites, browser extensions, apps and unauthorized galleries, things you don't look at so much as run into. His method is a kind of deadpan sabotage: he takes an ordinary piece of internet infrastructure, a CAPTCHA, an age gate, a camera app, a Facebook prompt, a museum wall, and inverts the logic just enough to expose what it was always doing. The work is funny first and unsettling second, and it usually escapes the art world entirely, spreading through Hacker News and Reddit before it reaches a gallery. He is a co-founder of the artist collective Do Something Good and a NEW INC member. His work has been shown at the New Museum, Pioneer Works, HeK Basel, NRW-Forum, König Galerie, Roehrs & Boetsch, TRANSFER, SPRING/BREAK and Import Projects. He will be part of WEBSITES WEBSITES WEBSITES! (WWW!) Opening September 21st in NY. ↓ Below is an overview of his past projects

Artists You Should Know → .✦ ݁˖ @nonperformant .✦ ݁˖ Chia Amisola (b. 2000, Manila) is an artist devoted to the internet's loss, love, labor and liberation, particularly of the third world experience. Their work unravels the systems and narratives that condition and emerge from technology, and the intimacies and infrastructures underneath them. They make websites, games, hypertexts and performances, and treat the browser itself as material: windows, tabs and domains are things to be composed, not just containers. Their practice is grounded in research and worldbuilding: they draw on Philippine history, Catholic devotion, domestic life and the invisible labor behind digital infrastructure, then build software, tools and institutions that make room for other people inside those worlds. The recurring subjects are labor, love, faith and life on a networked archipelago. They hold a BA in Computing and the Arts from Yale, won the 2024 Lumen Prize Moving Image Award, and are a Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia honoree. Their work has been presented at the V&A and Tate Britain, Transmediale, Tai Kwun, Gray Area and the Internet Archive, and Art Fair Philippines. They founded and direct Developh, a research and arts institution for critical technology practice in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, and design creative tooling at Figma. They will be part of WEBSITES WEBSITES WEBSITES! (WWW!) Opening September 21st in NY. ↓ Below is an overview of their past projects

    ARTXCODE @artxcode_io
ARTXCODE (@artxcode_io), in partnership with Rhizome (@rhizome), is pleased to announce the artists of WEBSITES WEBSITES WEBSITES! (WWW!), a group exhibition curated by Sofia Garcia (@sofiagarcia_io) of ARTXCODE and Vienna Kim (@bennavkim) and Benoît Palop (@benoit_tokyo_) of LAN Party, celebrating the website as an artistic medium and marking the 30th anniversary of Rhizome, the pioneering institution for born-digital art and culture. The exhibition features works by 0xfff, Chia Amisola, Kim Asendorf, Mika Ben Amar, Petra Cortright, Vuk Ćosić, Damjanski, Simon Denny, EXONEMO, Sarah Friend, Auriea Harvey, SHAWNÉ MICHAELAIN HOLLOWAY, Jan Robert Leegte, LIA, Maya Man, Lorna Mills, Nolen Royalty, Rafaël Rozendaal, Luke Shannon, and Molly Soda. Together they span three decades of practice on the web, from the playful interventions of 1990s pioneers to the poetic web experiments of artists navigating today’s algorithmically saturated internet. Presented as live websites installed physically across the gallery and online, WWW! bridges generations of artists to show how the website remains a radical artistic space: one that belongs to no platform and answers to no algorithm. On view September 21–27, 2026, with an opening reception on Monday, September 21, 6–9PM, at 39 Great Jones St, New York. Works will be available for direct acquisition throughout the run of the exhibition, in-person or online, via Fellowship (@fellowshiptrust), with a portion of proceeds benefiting Rhizome’s work as a memory institution for digital art. The venue for this exhibition was graciously provided by New International Picture Company.
