Our recent launch generated a bunch of great questions about Attio, agents and where our industry is heading. I'm hosting a Reddit AMA this Wednesday on r/CRM to share my point of view! Bring your questions about agentic revenue and where software goes next, or tell me what you’d like to see us build next. See you there:1321935

You know the product is good when @grok gets it!Grok @grokAttio is a CRM. The news: agents can now hit its full data via normal SQL queries (joins, aggs, whatever), treating it like a database. But every query still runs through Attio’s app layer—permissions, validation, policies, compliance stay enforced. Agents get flexible access without raw DB free-for-all or brittle APIs. That’s the practical bit. Agents scale across your customer data while the guardrails stay on.32251K

A new type of user requires a new type of architecture. Legacy software wasn't built for agents and now they're breaking it. Today, we're launching the next generation of our platform powered by a hybrid architecture. Building this has been the most ambitious and challenging engineering challenge of my career. Attio now supports SQL - offering a PostgreSQL compatible connector and syntax that allows our customers and their agents to query all of their data like a database. It's transactionally consistent, horizontally scalable and allows agents to access the full context they require using a language and syntax that they're well trained on using. Whether you're accessing your data through our UI, our API, our MCP server or now our SQL Data Connectors: your team and your agents get the full context, every time. Learn more at25261137K
We're big fans of agentic development @attio and we're also big fans of @googlecloud Spanner! Previously these two weren't the best of friends as you had to use full Cloud Spanner instances every time you spin up a development environment. We worked with the Google Cloud team to deploy their new Spanner Omni system in our CI/CD environments and the results have been incredible. We're incredibly proud to be a launch partner for the feature with them as we push the boundaries of software engineering further, together:33211K
Alexander ChristieRT @nicolasosharp: We just signed an 8-figure compute contract. @attio is increasingly becoming the place agents do work. That takes compute and tokens, a lot of them! The next platform war isn't just about who stores your data, it's about where agents are allowed to act on it. Owning that is worth a whole lot of compute!0602
Alexander ChristieRT @nicolasosharp: Once again @attio is the fastest growing CRM in the world (off a baseline that gets higher and higher). When we started many people thought CRM was too hard and urged us to build a point solution, I'm glad we didn't.01501
Alexander ChristieRT @nicolasosharp: Love to see our customers winning! Huge fan of @reductoaiAdit @aditabrmI promise that we will do everything to: - Make Reducto the best product in the industry - Get it in the hands of all of the companies that need it - Do anything and everything to make those companies successful Momentum is increasing but we're at a fraction of our ambition0501

Looking forward to chatting with @richardmuirhead about what it takes to scale out CRM in the AI era!Fabric Ventures @fabric_vcThe first [O]pen House door opens. A fireside chat with Alexander Christie ( @byteofbits), Co-founder & CTO of @Attio, and @richardmuirhead. Attio is building the fastest-growing CRM in one of software's most crowded categories, now leading the shift to agentic CRM. We'll get into the conviction to build anyway and what it takes to scale a category leader. The conversations behind R[3]sidency x Construct have always been off the record. For the first time, the door's open. Apply to join the room, 8 Sept →1115712

Alexander ChristieRT @attio: Attio does the math. Get live answers from your data with formula attributes. Be deterministic where it matters, reference across your workspace, and stay reactive to changes. Now forecasts recalculate on their own, pipeline health updates itself, and lead scores stay current. Alexander ChristieRT @techeurope_: London has all the ingredients to be Europe's best ecosystem. Outstanding universities, every relevant tech company has engineering (not just sales) offices there. Both regularly spin out exceptional founders. The momentum is clearly there. So we're back in two weeks, hosted by @Attio with @GoogleDeepMind co-hosting. @Superlinked, @tavilyai , @AikidoSecurity, @mubitcompany, @slng_ai and @n8n_io are supporting as well. 80 spots. 27 June, London. Alexander ChristieRT @nicolasosharp: We built Attio to be the context layer at the center of your GTM stack, and now that context becomes available everywhere you work. Today we're launching native connections for @Attio in @Claude, @ChatGPT, and @Notion. Research prospects, update records, surface deal insights, and connect with other AI tools, all from wherever you're already working. Learn more:07014.8K
Alexander ChristieRT @nicolasosharp: I went to Downing Street this morning with founders and CEOs from UK startups and scaleups to talk about tech policy. Left feeling optimistic. There’s real ambition in this government, a willingness to listen, and a clear desire to help builders. The UK also has extraordinary talent, world-class universities, deep capital, and founders building globally important companies. But the biggest thing the UK needs to “fix” isn’t policy, it’s vibes. That’s on us. Help each other. Be optimistic. Build ambitious things. Stop waiting around hoping someone else will do it. People don’t move to SF because of policy (it’s worse than the UK). They go for the energy. It's on us to build that here.025018.2K
We migrated away from Postgres in our stack back in 2022, when a single large customer onboarding managed to irreparably brick the query planner. We haven’t regretted that decision once.Clerk @clerkThe postmortem for our incident yesterday has been published, including the root cause analysis and our planned remediations. We are deeply sorry for the disruption this incident caused to your team, your business, and your users. We understand that you depend on Clerk to be available, and we failed to meet that expectation yesterday, and too many times in recent months. This is unacceptable, and we will be bringing increased attention to proactively adding monitors, redundancies, and failovers to our overall system. While we've added many throughout the past year, recent events have made it clear that we are not moving fast enough. Thank you for your patience and continued partnership.242195129K

This is a really clever abuse of Object Storage, but I can’t help but feel that this is actually a fairly complex wrapper around Spanner. You get the same guarantees if you just write the whole thing to Spanner (as it powers the metadata of GCS) and you don’t need the buffer.turbopuffer @turbopufferqueue.json on object storage is all you need to build a reliable distributed job queue → FIFO execution → at-least-once delivery → 10x lower tail latencies11306.7K
