I think the first thing #DevOps, build/CI engineers, and platform engineers can do is design our automation to fully automate security-fix dependency updates *and deployments*. Run daily upstream semver patch-level checks (Renovate, Dependabot), improve CI testing automation for those patches, and, when checks are green, automate merging the PR and deploying the update.
