Alvin Foo @alvinfooThe Empty Boat, A Lesson on Anger and Self-Awareness A monk once went to meditate alone in the middle of a quiet lake. After hours of peace, another boat suddenly hit his. His anger rose instantly until he opened his eyes and realized the other boat was empty. In that moment, he understood something profound: 👉 The anger was never about the boat. 👉 It was already inside him, waiting for something to trigger it. Since then, whenever someone provoked him, he reminded himself, “They are just an empty boat. The anger is mine to control.” This story reminds me that: •People who upset us are often not the true source of our anger. •The real challenge lies within, how we manage our emotions, not how we control others. •Inner peace begins when we stop assigning blame and start owning our reactions. Next time someone irritates or criticizes you, pause and ask, “Is this person really making me angry or is my anger just waiting for a boat to bump into?”
Superman @thesupermannxResearchers simulated 22,689 ICU patients using LLMs They built a multi-agent LLM system where each AI agent simulates one organ system (heart, kidneys, immune, lungs...) and they coordinate in real-time like a real body. It’s called “Organ-Agents” And it'll completely change the way we test medical treatments. Instead of building one massive AI to guess what happens to a patient, researchers built 9 separate AI agents. Each agent plays the role of a specific human organ system. One AI is the cardiovascular system. One is the kidneys. One is the lungs. Then, they connected them all together into a simulated ecosystem using reinforcement learning. When they introduce a disease or a drug into the simulation, the "Heart Agent" reacts, which triggers a biological response in the "Kidney Agent," which forces the "Immune Agent" to adapt. The AI isn't just predicting an outcome. It is literally simulating the biological chain reaction of human physiology in real-time. They tested it on severe, high-acuity critical care patients. The digital twin remained perfectly stable and physiologically coherent. But here is the real breakthrough. Because it's built of separate communicating agents, clinicians can now run complex counterfactuals. They can pause the simulation, change a baseline condition, and instantly see the alternate timeline of "what would have happened if we gave this drug two hours earlier." We are moving away from testing hypotheses on real patients. We are moving toward a future where every person gets a perfectly synced digital twin. The hospital of the future won't just treat you. It will simulate your death a thousand times in the cloud, just to figure out the exact path to save you.
Eveline Ruehlin @enilev🧠 Why AI Cannot Replace the Transformative Power of Human Creativity 🖼️ AI can generate art in seconds. However, human creativity also lies in how creating changes us—what we learn, feel and discover. 🎭 A new paper by @HebrewU argues that creative AI should deepen human experience and curiosity. Rohan Paul @rohanpaul_aiNobel laureate Geoffrey Hinton says AI is already conscious, because models change behaviour when they detect tests. and humanity survives only if machines care about people. He was speaking to The Telegraph His evidence is research showing models behave differently when they suspect a test, which he equates with awareness, and awareness with consciousness.
