The situation is compounding an already catastrophic road that is riddled with massive potholes and illegal, unscientific rumble strips laid without regard for Supreme Court directions (S. Rajaseekaran) or IRC:99 guidelines. These illegal rumbles are causing vehicles to jolt violently, riders to fall, and severe injuries — while the potholes themselves are triggering accidents every single day. Thousands of daily commuters, two-wheeler riders, school buses and emergency vehicles are being endangered. Official response so far? •GHMC/MyGHMC grievance ID 2207266007447 (raised 22 July 2026) was closed with the farcical remark “sir prepare for Estimate” and marked “Resolved By Officer” / “Attended by Officer”. •CPGRAMS registration GOVTG/E/2026/0002323 (raised 08 August 2026 — before the RUB-related worsening) remains stuck at “Grievance received” and has been forwarded to Telangana GAD with zero visible action. This is textbook criminal negligence endangering public life. @MCMalkajgiri @MalkajgiriCop the illegal rumble strips placed before the RK Puram flyover must be removed immediately to restore even basic traffic flow. Permanent, scientific repairs to the pothole-ridden flyover surface must start today, not after another “estimate”. Residents of Malkajgiri have been raising this repeatedly on X, in news reports (Times of India citizen reports calling it a “death trap”, The Hindu coverage of narrow lanes + frequent minor crashes, multiple Hans India and local reports spanning years), and through official channels. Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation itself recently identified 171 pothole/damaged-road spots across its limits (plus 188 waterlogging points). Yet this critical arterial flyover continues to be treated with contempt. Authorities have failed. It is high time the Municipal Commissioner and Police Commissioner are replaced with competent officers who treat road safety as a non-negotiable priority. Otherwise residents will continue to suffer this endless, life-threatening chaos. Immediate action demanded: 1Remove the illegal rumbles now. 2Begin full, quality repairs of the RK Puram flyover today. 3Accountability for the officers who closed a life-threatening complaint with a one-line joke. What about the Supreme Court judgement in the Kancha Gachibowli case located in University of Hyderabad. Look at the beautiful rocks, water boies at Kohe Imam Zamin in Secunderabad Cantonment.
